So I needed some breakfast and this was an restaurant that was recommended by a friend. It didn’t disappoint. The staff was nice and they accommodated me eating by myself and fit me in on a pretty long wait so if you were in the area definitely stop by. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and the location obviously was great. If they’re really busy, the modifications to the menu may not be available but that’s understood. I had their scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee and it was spectacular. I will definitely come back and wanna leave everything positive for this place.

If you think you've tasted French toast, think again, because the Brooklyn Diner in NYC takes it to a whole new, almost illegal level of deliciousness with their Pecan and Raisin French Toast. This isn't just breakfast; it's a flavor fiesta in your mouth!
The toast itself? Imagine a pillow fight between crispy and fluffy, and the toast is winning. Each bite is like receiving a loving, nutty hug from a pecan and a sweet, chewy kiss from a raisin. It's like they threw a party on the plate, and cinnamon was the DJ.
Sitting in the diner, with its charmingly retro vibe, you'll half expect a waitress on roller skates to roll up and ask if you're enjoying the '80s sitcom of a meal you're having. The atmosphere is as inviting as a bear hug from your favorite uncle – you know, the one with all the dad jokes.
In conclusion, if you haven't tried the Pecan and Raisin French Toast at the Brooklyn Diner, are you even living? It's more than a meal; it's an edible stand-up comedy show where the punchline is always delicious. Don't walk, run to try it, but maybe not with scissors. Safety first, folks!

Excellent meal, wonderful atmosphere and amazing service. Waffle grilled cheese pastrami was different but very good, was like a New York version of a Monte Cristo. Both burgers where very good, order well done unless you like a little red. Loved the fries and the meal... 5 Stars...

Fast paced diner with loads of good food! It’s close to Times Square and busy but you don’t wait long. Staff is so very nice and friendly and the food is made with care. I had the waffle grilled cheese: so delicious! My only complaint is that my marshmallow was so big in my hot chocolate that I had to take it out! Haha! Not a real complaint though, everything was good and well worth the visit here!

Food: Get the chicken pot pie. So good! It was creamy and has huge chunks of chicken. We would not recommend the steak special. It was SO TOUGH. Tougher than any steak I've eaten before AND it was unseasoned. So we shared my pot pie and nibbled on the unlimited fries from her entree instead of bothering with the steak.
Drinks: The pineapple mojitos were delicious.
Service: The service was top notch from entrance to exit.

Very fast-paced customary New York Diner. Limited diner breakfast menu but food was definitely good. Basic breakfast exactly what was needed and when in NYC you got to have a bagel for breakfast! Served fresh Mexican Coke from the bottle… a definite favorite if you have never had! Waitress was very polite and very busy. Always be ready to order as the staff are always working and busy.

Food was very tasty, out of all of the dishes we would say that the egg Benedict was the best! The French Toast was good as well but know it’s almost like a dessert. Everything was very clean and service was great.

Had lunch here today. First time here.
Service was prompt and professional and restaurant was clean.
I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake.
Burger was hot and extremely tasty. Fries could have been hotter but if you like crispy fries (like I do) these are for you!
Chocolate shakes are made with ice cream NOT chocolate syrup but are not a large as most diners. Not sure if it was worth the price.
Overall, a good experience and I would return.

This will definitely become my go-to breakfast spot when I visit NYC! The staff, including their manager Chris, are incredibly friendly and helpful. Although I haven’t tried everything on the menu, the chocolate cookie, waffles, and Greek yogurt with granola are a must-try! Delightful experience overall.

Pastrami Reuben was excellent. Chicken noodle soup was some of the best I've had in a long time. Fries were good. My server Luis was professional and very good at his job.

We have reserved this in advance, this is recommended. The restaurant is located in Time Square. When we arrived there was not much space left.
The menu is very different. What we ate was very tasty. They also take into account the wishes of the customer.
For dessert we took a milsshake, which is definitely recommended.
I would definitely recommend this place!

We arrived without a reservation in the early evening and were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. Service was quick and efficient, and staff were very friendly. We both chose different burgers and milkshakes, and it all tasted fab. Great place, just steps away from the madness that is Times Square.

This restaurant is situated very close to the Times Square, hence very crowded most of the time. Hands down, their service was great. We visited there twice for the breakfast and they did not disappoint. The bagels were soft & the omelets were tasty too. The staff was polite & helpful with the inquiries we made. The vibe inside the dining area is just great.

The pineapple mojito was deliciously refreshing. We shared the Chicken Pot Pie and it was by far the best pot pie ever. With every member of their staff attentive and kind; it made for an absolutely perfect experience.

I love American diners and this is a good chain in my view. The decor is suitable for a mid range restaurant.
Good choice of food with classics such as pastrami sandwiches.

The Tony Bennett's French toast is out of this world ,,, just make sure u ask for the tony fridge toast & not the regular.
The 15 bite hotdog is something u won’t get anywhere else & the break fast options are excellent.

This isn't your average diner! This was fine dining. The plates are stacked, everything was prepared to perfection, and the staff was one of the best I have ever seen. They were incredibly courteous and by your side in the blink of an eye. Tonight we were in a breakfast mood with some other dishes mixed in between. Each dish was better than the last. I highly recommend this place for any and every meal.

Breakfast All Day Everyday for me please!! Brooklyn Diner legit has the BEST ‘Perfect French Toast’ I’ve ever had - I am not kidding, takes a lot for me to say best. Please go here and try it, and if French toast is not your thing, don’t worry there are plenty of menu classics you can choose from! I also loved the pastrami hash and avocado toast. If you want some diner lunch/dinner time classics, you can’t go wrong with this 15 bite hot dog, it’s giant and oh so tasty!

Really nice spot with a traditional feel. Staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The price point is high and I suppose it is to be expected considering the location. Worth a visit when there.

The cook doesn’t know how to cook fried eggs. He over-cooked them to the point that I couldn’t cut it with a fork. The bacon was half over-cooked and half normal. The English Muffin was cold enough that the butter wouldn’t even melt. Two people at $50 for breakfast for such a bad experience. I hope they go out of business soon!!!

We had pot pie and mac and - yum! And our waiter was very nice- and it was only a few steps from Beautiful

The Brooklyn Diner was one of my first stops being back in N.Y. The tuna salad sandwich is by far the best I have had. The polenta side with pomodero dipping sauce I could not stop eating. Our waitress Sarah Elizabeth was outstanding and so very personable, just loved her!
Thank you!

The service was excellent, but there wasn't much of a selection on the menu. Not your typical dinner food. They are extremely overpriced. $4.50 for a soda and $16 for a burger and some fries. We won't be back.
Alexa Sujat
The food and service was amazing!!! Would definitely recommend to eat st this place of you are near by.

Loved it, great food and the biggest hotdog I'd ever seen, waiter Dan was attentive and courteous, can't moan about the prices as this is New York after all

I ate at your establishment for the first time on July 18, 2017. I treated my Aunt there to dinner for her birthday. Great choice. Our Waitress was Sarah. Sarah was excellent, professional, friendly, engaging, and helpful. My Aunt and I both had the Old Fashioned Burger and it was delicious! It was very filling and made as we requested. We didn't have enough room in our stomachs for dessert. Lol. I certainly would like to come back to try one of your milkshakes.

Very good service but didn't like the food at all.. It's a personal review and totally depends on my taste... My friend kind of liked the salmon..

The chicken pot pie was fantastic and huge. I’m still full. :)

We loved our breakfast. Pancakes were to die for! And joe the manager on 43rd was just the kindest and friendliest. Will come back!

Great food and great service. Little bit of a wait for a table but worth it.
