We've eaten here twice now, and really enjoyed the experience both times. They even adapted a roll for us that wasn't on their menu. I enjoy the sushi quite a bit more than their other dishes, and the seaweed salad was far spicier than I was expecting, but still had a nice flavor. 5 stars for sushi, 3 stars for other food, 5 for ambiance.

Loved this place. It just shot toward the top of my list of favorite restaurants. The food was delicious and served beautifully, the atmosphere was comfortable and calming, and the service was great. Nicole (our server) was more than happy to talk about the restaurant and give recommendations. We'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Edit: Koyo is now open for dine in again! Please go show your support to the best Japanese restaurant ever. 8/22/23 Staple of the Japanese community! For those not in the know, they have been under construction for some time. They initially closed for the pandemic, and then swapped to take out only while renovating the building. This is a small business owned entirely by family, not to mention that some of the family is older. If you want authentic Japanese food, get something to go! It will be delicious. If you're expecting a casual sushi restaurant or something try sushi groove instead. Please do not blame the business for struggling and trying their best to even operate. In honor of asian history month, why not try a local Asian restaurant that is one of the few Japanese owned and run restaurants in town!

Finally open for dine-in again! Amazing atmosphere, fantastic sushi and tonkotsu, and friendly staff. We were sat in a tatami room and it was very cozy and private. Affordable, delicious, authentic feeling Japanese dining experience. We’ll be back!

Love the food! Soup and the salad dressing are my favorites. Decent prices. You have to CALL early for take out as they take forever. Sometimes they have gotten my order wrong. No matter, we still go there a few times a month.

Great food for a good price, along with quiet Japanese atmosphere. It is a great place for a larger group, where you can hear each other talk.

Absolutely love this place. Japanese confort foods. Their dinner combos are worth it! Lots of food that tastes good! Have patience since they are short staffed. Be sure to check your order before you leave, just to make sure.

These guys do authentic Japanese cuisine better than anywhere in the US. If you want Americanized attempts at real Japanese specialties then this isn’t your place. Sukiyaki to the incomparable Katsu sauce and every dish in between - I just can’t get enough.

My family has been coming here for decades. The food (specifically the steak teriyaki) is so yummy and the owners are incredibly accommodating and kind. It’s our favorite restaurant and we often celebrate birthdays, graduations, etc. here. Feels like home!
