This is some of the best sushi in the U.S. first come-first seated. Lines start before opening every weekday. Get there early to get a seat.

I told the hostess that I just wanted a sushi chef that would use his expertise to give me the best experience he could and I let him use his judgment and I was not disappointed. I didn't order anything off the menu I just told the sushi chef that I wanted to experience the best they had and he outdid himself. I get through here twice a year and I've never had a bad experience. Excellent food excellent cocktails and excellent service thank you. The picture I posted is some of their work I guess it was more of a tasting menu if you will.

Excellent sushi bar with great options and an awesome staff. We sat at the sushi bar which I highly recommend as the chef recommended amazing items for us. It was also fun watching him prepare the food. Note that it gets very busy so get in line by 5:20 pm at the latest if you want a seat!

The place is really nice. The service was odd. Our server was awesome, but the hostess (one of them) was really weird. She was dressed in PJs/baggy sweats on sweats and looked like she was only there to gossip with the other one. Nonetheless the place is nice, food is great and prices are relatively cheap compared to Houston pricing. Wagyu Nikumaki was delicious.

Amazing sushi, one of the best in Utah hands down. Their miso soup is out of this world good and I've tried it countless times at other restaurants. It's too bad the bowl it comes in is so small! We went about 20 minutes before they opened for dinner and there was a sizable line behind us by that time, so I recommend getting there early.

Wow wow.. just one of those magical gems you experience once in a while. The freshness, the attention to detail, each mouthful my wife and I made those mmmmm noises. Yes the seafood is amazing but those braised pork ribs and mango desert were divine. Thank you Takshi!

Delicious imaginative sushi! We had the pork belly as an appetizer and it was perfection! I had the strawberry fields roll, and I highly recommend it. The tamago is homemade, though I have had better. Atmosphere was nice, you should be prepared to wait, go get a drink somewhere after you put your name on the list. Service was good, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Great spot for sushi that you shouldn’t be able to get the the mountain west with all due respect. Prices are pretty fair here. Fish was great quality. Cocktails were good, but not groundbreaking. I think I would definitely take someone here if they were in town!

The best Sushi restaurant in Salt Lake City by far. Excellent Sushi and service! Came here for the first time with a date and was blown away at how amazing the Sushi here was. We sat at the bar and the Sushi chef that took care of us was fun to talk to and made our rolls beautifully. We also had a couple glasses of Sake which topped it all off. If you’re looking for the best quality Sushi restaurant in town, look no further than Takashi!

Been missing this spot for a while due to the wait usually. At one end, the long wait sucks but it shows you how good the spot is. We finally made it back here and they did not disappoint. Shout out to Camila who prepared all our dishes. We ended up sitting at the bar to expedite getting a spot and we did get to enjoy the process of making the dishes. Drinks were on point tonight and we didn’t have a bad sushi roll. We ended up getting three rolls, and dabbled in the oysters. Definitely will Make it back but make sure you are either prepared for a wait or get their at the start to reserve a spot. If you do have to wait, grab a scooter and go enjoy salt lake until they call you. 😊
