Overall a lovely dinner at La Trattoria. Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. Well worth the price. A lovely take on the traditional caprese with a fresh salad. The chicken marsala was flavourful and creamy. Some of the best chicken I've ever eaten.
Improvements:
I'd prefer if there was a range of breads to go with the olive oil and balsamic dip.
Being given only one piece of bread at a time is very frustrating and awkward. Kept having to ask the waiter for more bread.
A bread basket would be very appreciated.
With that being said, it was a divine dinner with very good service and some of the best food in Key West. Would definitely return.

Be sure to check out Virgilio's which is in the back for an after dinner drink. The Espresso Martini and sidecar was a treat.

We had a wonderful meal here and loved our waitress. I wish I remembered her name. She was so helpful and attentive. She even suggested a smaller serving of the pasta for me - does not show on menu - and you can ask for it. I had an amazing gluten free pasta with crab meat. My husband had the lasagna and said it was fabulous. Great wine selections and bread. Highly recommend eating here.

This was our best meal of the week. It is a casual place, but with white linen tablecloths.
Our service was very good and the food was outstanding. We had veal, gnocchi, pasta, and antipasto. They meals were all very good and the portions were all large. They have some speciality drinks as well on the menu. It wasn't much more expensive than other places, but it was a great meal. (Sorry I didn't take pics)

Coming here for 20 years whenever we are in key west. Always wonderful creative dishes. Loved the isalata paesano, August 1 grouper special dinner and daughter loved chicken saltimbocca.

La Trattoria on Duval Street exceeded all expectations during my recent visit. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the pan-seared grouper in cream sauce, which was simply amazing. We came here for dinner, the host was alright, because my boyfriend was very specific about the seat. Server was friendly but the most amazing part is the food, 10/10

One of the best meals we had in Key West. Absolutely delicious. After a crazy week of outdoor patios and bars, an amazing meal in a nice, quiet, and air conditioned restaurant was a perfect change of pace for one evening. We all raved about the meals we ordered and the portions won’t leave you feeling hungry.

Very nice Italian restaurant. The waiter was on point with his service. We never had to ask for a refill on drinks or bread. The food took a little longer to come out but it was well worth the wait. The music was Italian themed and just made the place that much more cozy.

I've been going here for years, tables are very close together, was sat and order taken quickly, food was very good, local snapper and it was perfect. What wasn't perfect was the large table sat next to us, very loud and this is a small restaurant, waitress took care of them we had to wait for drinks and our bill while the loud table tried to figure out how to order food. If I were the restaurant manager, I would not take tables over 6 for such a small restaurant. If it wasn't for that issue, it would have been a great dinner, but I think dinner is service and atmosphere with food. Not just good food which this place has some very good food. By the way, the martini here is excellent, and the wait staff is fairly good except for large tables.

The keys are one of the last places I expected to visit an Italian restaurant at but I was here for 7 months so I figured why not. We went here for a birthday, and throughout the servers were very attentive and informative about the menu. It's a slight bit on the fancy side, but being in Key West, most places are ready for a spontaneous visit and won't frown upon your sweat stained t shirt and hat that should've been thrown away 2 months ago (speaking from experience lol) and is still on the affordable side of things. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone craving a sit-down Italian meal while in the lower keys. Also, the free bread is 👌

We walked up and down Duval St looking at reviews and judging were to eat. We settled here and could not believe our luck. The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. This is my very first review at nearly 50 and felt compelled to drop a 5 star on this awesome place. Thank you Lola! Her recommendation made our night!

I have dined-in at this place a couple times already, so far every dish has been very well balanced on presentation, size and price of it. We had appetizers and a couple Entrees. Lasagna, chicken marsala, Caneloni and Fettuccine!Different italian options for either pasta, meat or fish lovers! Menu is pretty diverse and the server explained a couple special additions they had for the night. Drinks were excellent (check their Martinis), dessert chocolate mousse was to die for also!
Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a dining experience with some real flavor!
