Review Tavern N Town - Key West

When you want to get fancy and enjoy delicious food and service in key west....this is it! Sometimes the al fresco and flip flops can get redundant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious! We had Ben as our server and he was wonderful. Drinks were tasty and the food came out perfect. The only complaint I had was the servers helper seemed to have an off day by slapping beverage napkins, and waters on the table and overall he had a not so welcoming demeanor about him- but everything else made up for it! Plus, I guess we all have bad days.

We're locals that usually come for the great happy hour, but were there for my girlfriend's birthday dinner this week. Our server, Raif, was beyond fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, he absolutely made it a great experience for us. The wagyu steak and swordfish dishes were perfect, couldn't have asked for a better meal or better service!

Only complaint I have is that it's really really dark. It's definitely taverny, and once you finish reading the wine and cocktail list, it's a great atmosphere! Food is very good. The menu isn't extensive, it's minimal with excellent options. Happy Hour is great!

Let me start by saying the dessert chef was phenomenal. Molten cake was wonderful and everyone was mesmerized watching her. See the photo below of four staff just lined up at the counter watching her create one of the dishes. Between us we had a salad, a pizza, scallops and vegetable-everything was served with great presentation and most importantly tasted great. If your staying at the Marriott Beachside or in the area, stop in for dinner

Excellent food and service. The place is beautiful. Best chicken crust Parmesan I ever had. My husband had black grouper, very thick and fresh with linguine, mushrooms and asparagus. Our waiter, Karoly, was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided great suggestions. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time. Local friendly. Kid friendly and vegetarian friendly. They cover it all for a full service steak house.

Low lights, candles burning on each table with a pianist playing & singing olden goldies. A wrap around bar is in the front with quieter seating beyond that for a romantic dinner♡ Being a local, they gave my husband his birthday dinner for free!♡♡♡

Anna delivered the BEST service. She was attentive and so sweet. We couldn't have asked for me. The food was delicious!! My husband got an all American breakfast and I got the Continental breakfast. Both were filling and were great quality. We highly recommend visiting!

Absolutely wonderful food, ambiance and staff! Sonia was the sweetest and most attentive server, but all the staff that assisted us was fantastic. Their dirty martini was one of the best i've ever had and the key lime martini was also fantastic. Highly recommend.

Took my sister for her birthday and we weren't disappointed! Our server was amazing! We were not rushed and everything was delicious!

This is by far the best restaurant in Key West. The onion soup is delicious. I had the chicken breasts that were so tasty. My husband had the NY steak that just melted in his mouth. The wait staff is very attentive and everything they do is classy. Also try them for breakfast. They have the best buffet in the area. You must give this restaurant a try. You won't be sorry.

We had dinner at the Tavern n Town to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the prime rib and it melted in your mouth. The server Misha was great not only did he make our experience special with a complimentary anniversary dessert for our celebration he also gifted us vouchers for breakfast the following day!! The whole experience was wonderful and We can't wait for our next visit!

Two experiences at Town and Tavern and neither one was good; 1st night was dinner which was followed by breakfast the next day. Let me address dinner; the positive was the pizza my kid ordered was good as was the bread and the bad meal was comp'd (as it should've been). The not so positive, the pasta was cold, the meal took the better part of 45 minutes to make it to the table and both the manager and server were not concerned. Their words were hollow at best and allowed them an out if asked was the customer taken care of. Day 2 we went for breakfast. The positive parts of breakfast was it was tasty with good variety. The not so good was a sticky table with dirty coffee cups and silverware. It's as if they seated us with completely clearing the table. Then the water spilled coffee and just proceeded to go on about his business until I pointed it out. A hotel of this caliber shouldn't have these types of problems. It points too a void in leadership and training. As a Platinum member I have choices and may not include spending my dollars in a Marriott property.

If you go for happy hour, make sure you say hi to George, behind the bar, while waiting for a table. I can honestly say this is one of my most two favorite places to eat out of every restaurant on the island. They always take care of locals and the food is "out of this world" good. I've never had a complaint from anything we've ever tried on the menu. For all you soup lovers, get the French Onion Soup. It's to die for. From experience (trust me), always ask for either of the Anton's to serve you and you won't go wrong.

I Went today for breakfast and Mr. Dimitrio the best msupervisor for service, I feel l'm in home, the food also delicious the morning chef he know what his doing! I recommend for all food.

The best dining experience in Key West with VIP service from Junior & Ashot...live music by Bobby Nesbitt!

My family and I have been to Tavern and Town over a dozen times. This establishment has the potential for greatness. It's lack of ambition and foresight to overcome some of Key Wests common road blocks leads to sub par service and low reviews. For example... Upon arrival the room temperature is astonishingly high. Yes, there is a wonderful view of the kitchen with sue chefs and head chefs at work with multiple grills accompanied with hot ovens and spits. So why is it so damn hot?! Why doesn't the house acknowledge this?! Why is the heat from the kitchen and customers in general not recognized by the staff or management?! It would be normal for staff and management to recognize this fact and initiate the need for more A.C. BEFORE a customer has to inquire. Furthermore... we all know and acknowledge how difficult staffing can be here in lovely Key West, but for the love of God please tell me why there is a 5 to 1 ratio of bread servers to waiters/waitresses. Waiting for 15 minutes just to place drink orders is mind blowing. Meanwhile the table has consumed at least one round of complimentary bread and butter with amazingly efficient offers of more! The high quality of the food is often off set by the lackluster service. I am referencing slow nights as well as peak evenings. The devil is in the details.....weather your seated by 6:30 or roll in after. Tavern and Town has the capability of being great for Key West... but does it desire to be?

The food was outstanding, the service top notch. Nothing to not recommend Tavern N Town. We'll return often.

Superb. In our two week trip all over Florida, it has been by far the best meal. As many reviews said, this is not your typical hotel restaurant. Started with the buttermilk squash soup that was creamy and delicious. Had the rib-eye and the filet mignon and both we are right on the money. We wrapped up the night with an amazing chocolate came with coffee ice cream. There are not many words to describe how amazing it was. Great service by Anton who was charming and very attentive. Decor makes you feel like at Morton's steakhouse and great live music by a piano woman. Superb!!!!
