We walked through the garden and fed the birds. So beautiful and then to look up at the sleeping giant mountain and realize we are looking at redwoods, just amazing. Wish we could have gone to the luau but that is our fault for not planning ahead.
Wasn’t able to get reservations within 2 weeks during the peak period of the first week of January for the full Luau with meal. However we were more interested in the show than the food and there was plenty of availability of tickets for that portion. The amphitheater that they used for the show was definitely not super full but it seemed the dining room was pretty full. Would have been nice to have the full experience but the show is quite interesting with a blend of Hawaii/international culture and modern remixes. I wouldn’t want to revisit but going there once for the experience wasn’t too bad.
I went on a Tuesday morning and wandered the gardens. I think I was the only guest there. Information online was mixed about whether or not they were open, but when I called, they confirmed that they were open that day. The gardens are beautiful and mostly peaceful. There are a LOT of birds in the gardens, and they followed me around the entire time I was there, which wasn't my favorite. I would definitely recommend stopping by!
We love this place we returned on our second trip to Kauai. I like that you can walk at your own pace and the kids enjoy looking at the animals you can pay 1 dollar per feed bag and feed all the chickens and peacocks that follow you.
beautiful grounds, food was good...chicken, beef, mahi mahi, pork, pineapple bread, guava bread, salads, desserts, show was very nice with excellent performers. worth the money
Really beautiful grounds and it was fun feeding all the peacocks and chickens. The food was good and the show was good. My only issue is the seating in their little amphitheater. Left with the worst back and butt ache. But other than that it was a great experience.
Beautiful gardens. The luau is amazing and the river tour well worth a visit to the fern grotto with the entertainment along the way!
