I got married at Hukilau Lanai in April 2022, and everything was just perfect! I communicated with Chantry via email and phone to plan it long distance, and she handled all the details beautifully. From the gorgeous scenery at the ceremony and cocktail reception to how the decor was arrangement and the delicious food at the reception, we couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. The service was excellent, and guests are still commenting on the amazing food. A couple guests said that the steak was the best they've ever had. I would recommend Hukilau Lanai to any couple getting married on Kauai. We ended up with ~45 guests, and this venue worked perfectly for us. We can't wait to come back to dine next time we're on Kauai!
Located as part of the Kauai Coast Resort, we weren’t staying nearby but made our way over since it blends a perfect combination of delicious food and a great price. If you can the weekend only tasting menu (5 courses) between 5-5:45 is such a steal and I wish we could have taken advantage of it.
We were only able to secure reservations during a weekday so only had access to the regular menu. While it was a bit more expensive, the food was still delicious. Didn’t have any complaints for each dish.
Started off with the Soup of the Day which was a Fisherman’s Stew. Then also shared a lobster curry bisque and mixed greens salad with Kunana Dairy Fried Chèvre (extra). The complimentary bread with Italian herbs and cheese was also quite delicious and unique.
For the main dish, we had the Daily Catch (3 different types of local fish) and the Pork tenderloin which was equally delicious.
To finish off the meal, we had the Hawaiian Chocolate Factory warm cake which was cooked to perfection and a great way to end the meal.
Since we came with reservations and early in the dinner service period, we had no wait and plenty of parking was available. Staff was very friendly.
We ordered the Tasting Menu. A 5 course meal with wine pairings for $55 per person. It was fantastic! Our waitress, Breanna, was also excellent. She spoke to the chef and we were able to modify my husband's meal to be dairy-free. It did mean that he missed out on the fabulous lemon meringue dessert, though!
We were seated quickly and near the live music, which was very good. The restaurant has open windows in nice weather so we were able to enjoy the beautiful garden, as well.
Epic dinner. Great server, educated us on all the excellent food, and a really cool setting. Three Pepper Martini, Fillet Mignon, Local fish plate desert, all WOW foods. Definitely worth the money. Pricey but it’s vacation who cares!
A must visit if you are in Kauai! The most amazing fresh, local food full of flavor. The Ono Is is the best I’ve ever had but I also love to order whatever the special is. They had a tasting menu paired with wine last night that was so amazing! Exceptional staff and all around great dining experience. Go see them! But be sure to book ahead!
We sat at the lobby rather than a table because we came two hours early. The fact that we were still able to order and eat was lovely.
Everything was spectacular: particularly notable were the Candied Ahi, Lobster Curry Bisque, and the Mixed Grilled Fish trio.
We finished off with a chocolate cake, and the Lappert's ice cream that accompanied it was the perfect amount of sweetness (not egregious) and went well with the cake!
Excellent experience. We arrived before they opened and had availability, but I would recommend a reservation. They fill up quickly. Service was stellar and food, well its some of the best we've had since arriving to the islands last week. Presentation was great. Our table had the wally salad with chicken and mushrooms and fish chowder with the meatloaf. Both were unique and tasty. Coconut cheesecake was very good too. All under $100 with tip.
Get started right away at five, as the special menu for a five course "Taster Special" meal we were offered was from 5 to 5:45. It's $55 with wine, $40 without wine, and the wine provided with each course of the meal had a distinctive flavor which went well with the course being served.
We had Banh Mi, Island Gazpacho, Fresh Catch, Braised Beef Pasta (and I had Pork Tenderloin as an alternative, which I'm going back for as a meal by itself), and Lilikoi Meringue Pie (though I had coconut sorbet).
