This place has awesome authentic food! It is affordable and high quality!! Something I will always remember about my trip to Charleston!! The staff was very friendly, excellent server too! She even brought us pops to go! I am a big fan of waiters who are on it about refilling beverages. Nice atmosphere. Good music. Lovely outdoor patio!! I will definitely come back again when I'm in town!!

Not as great as I was expecting- it was always a little pricey. The food was good, and so was the service. It's just not quite as a good as you would expect a restaurant that specialized in producing Mexican food would be

The best for inexpensive lunch! The burrito 'as big as your head' really is! Share with your best friend. If it's cold outside, the tequila shot menu is impressive!

Stopped by this place on our first stroll downtown since moving to charleston ... it's awesome! the back patio is fun and sunny, the chips come in a heaping pile, the happy hour specials are fantastic, and the service is great. come by and ask for paul ... he gave plenty of menu/drink suggestions, made sure we were happy, and threw in a bunch of tips on what to do in the city while we're here. cool kid, awesome place, we'll definitely be back for another margarita pitcher :)

Like it for what it is.... This is the perfect place for the college crowd; outdoor dining, cheap, slightly dirty, and filling. Not the cleanest place I have every been, not the best place i have ever eaten in, not the cheapest Mexican i have ever had, but I still enjoyed it. JG's has a very casual sharable menu and a nice mix of cerveza. The Nachos Royal is a must! Imagine Mexican Pizza. The fish taco's were okay, too much pre-cut dried-out red cabbage with some micro-fish, the burrito, on the other hand, was a winner. Out server was fun and engaging, loved her. Fine place for budget or just a place to hang for beers and light fare.

Interesting nachos. These nachos are more like a pizza, with a cripsy flour tortilla, covered in your nacho toppings. I had mine veganized and it was quite tasty. The margaritas are a bit too sour/bitter for me, but the atmosphere was fun and casual with average service.

Fast-Cheap-Filling!. The title says it all. It is fast the food is good and the service is okay. Recommended for a person on a budget or looking for something quick a filling. I eat there about once a week.

Hipster Mexican. Staffed by college students of various piercings and tattoos, this informal Mexican is as eclectic as its name. Gotta love it. I have been coming here at least 8 years and a I just keep coming back.

Had a random lunch her on a Wednesday. Got their 10 taco and margarita special. tacos were excellent, margarita just fine - really pretty good value. Wife has a quesadilla that she really enjoyed. Wait staff attentive, good atmosphere. Really enjoyed it!

Juanita's was recommended to us because it's dog-friendly and has really good food. Absolutely SPOT ON on both counts! We visited Juanita's on a particularly yucky, rainy day so all three of us (my boyfriend, me, and our pup) were ecstatic when we were seated in the covered and enclosed patio area. Pelham was offered a bowl of water before we had even had a chance to sit down and our server, Liz, was right there asking what we needed and taking our drink orders. Pelham LOVED Liz who was so friendly and made sure Pelham had lots of ear scratches and attention as well. We ordered the Mexican pizza, beef burritos, pickled jalapenos, and chips with queso. Oh my goodness! Everything was sooooo good!! Liz checked in with us frequently (which Pelham thought was awesome, since it was obvious Liz was her new bestie!) The service was exceptional, the food was phenomenal, and we found our newest favorite Mexican restaurant in Charleston!! Next time we visit Charleston, we're going to make it a point to go to Juanita's first and often while we're there!!

The King street location is my fave based on the atmosphere and being able to look out on King street. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food didn't take long on a Saturday evening. Drinks were made with love. Still one of my favorite spots.

Sharon was my server. Fast and friendly service. I had half order of huge nachos carnitas. They are not kidding when they say huge. Unless you are sharing go with the half order. The white queso was great. Lots of toppings.

Excellently prepared nachos well seasoned using fresh ingredients and wait staff provided wonderful service. Environment is very colorful and relaxing as well and outdoor dining available with covered area when rain showers came through. The dishes were generous in size and priced appropriately. A great laid back spot for lunch. Highly recommended.

Had a quick lunch here today. Our first visit in a long time. This restaurant has been a Charleston fixture forever. Good spread of Mexican standards on a fairly simple menu. Not a lot of seating but with the back patio area it has improved. A little noisy when full but what place isn’t. Service is quick and competent and their bar is great for cocktails and lots of craft beers. This is a no nonsense bar/restaurant that’s been a favorite of locals and the college crowd. Overall we give it four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Delicious fish tacos with a great variety of hot sauces (8+). Gluten free corn tacos. Margaritas are their specialty and the have a good variety of tequila. Generous portions. A popular spot and can be busy at times. Very casual - bar stools, pub tables, sports on the TV.

What a great place to get Mexican Nachos. I got their huge Beef Nachos on Torteia Chips. However, the service is poor because of employment on busy work days, but that doesn't stop me from loving their food varities. They have two locations one in Mt. Pleasant and the other Downtown Charleston on King Street, left from Francis Marion Hotel. Come in and try. Also, as of warning all customers need to show IDs at night. Thanks for everything Juanita Greenberg's.

Walked in on a Friday night trying to get some late food. Sat at a table and nobody acknowledged us, so I asked a worker walking by if there was anything special we needed to do to order. She said the bartender would come take order, but she looked swamped, so we waited for some seats to become available at the bar as we figured if we sat there, we would get serviced quicker. Wrong! Sat at bar and still got ignored by female bartender. A male bartender came up sometime later and took our order. Started with frozen margaritas, which were delicious, then ordered food. I started with chips and salsa. The salsa tasted very fresh and the chips were perfectly sized and salted. The only issue I had is that you get a small cup of salsa to go with it and then they charge $3 for extra salsa. You would think you would get as much salsa as you want when you order the chips and salsa. My buddy ordered nachos and beware...the half plate is enough to feed two people. I couldn't even imagine how big the full plate was. Those were good. I then ordered a beef quesadilla. That was good. Overall, the food is great, but I only wish the service matched.

Drew (crowd control) was the best I’ve ever seen! What a wonderful personality to be around as well as our server Brooke who was so attentive and kind! 13/10 would recommend this place and we absolutely will be back soon!
