The 5 stars are only for the roti and the bake and buljol, that's all I've ever eaten there and I must say they've been delicious. This restaurant is only for pick up and leave because this is the worst customer service you'll ever experience if you catch Tara on a bad day. When I first started going to this restaurant I got the crap treatment but the food is so good that I just accept her for her; plus being from the Caribbean I am not new to terrible customer service and bomb ass food. Unfortunately, I didn't think the islanders would bring the same attitude to the US. I place my order, keep my head down, pay my money and leave. I think the more Tara sees your face she might treat you a bit nicer but her snide comments won't completely go away � the restaurant is reminiscent of one back home in terms of how it looks but can be cleaned up a bit. In the end, this is the only place I've ever had a roti since moving to America and I'm grateful for having it in Tampa, I just wish the customer service reflected the food.
We travel from Canada this is our first stop of vacation and last. We have returned to eat her place over the past 6 years. It is not a white linen pinky in the air kind of place. It does have the kind of food that makes your water months later as you think about it.

The doubles here are perfectly authentic! And the very spice has kick and just the way I like it! Had a roti as well it was pretty good too but for sure recommend the doubles. Oh also recommend waiting for order outside as the incense are a little intense for a restaurant.

We had not been here in years since Tara passed away. The daughter took over the business.
In the last 2 weeks, we came twice and had a chicken dalpuri roti, doubles, and fried chicken wontons.
All the food was good and we tried a few rotis these past 2 weeks from other establishments and Tara's is the best.

We flew out to check out family and I requested to come here for the flavors they serve.
It’s very hard to find authentic flavors in Houston but this place is great! It has been a tradition to come here for a visit every time I come to Florida.
Keep up the good food and look forward to supporting this business in the years to come.
Oxtail is delicious and my favorite! This is very fulfilling and so is the roti!!
Long wait today because of short staff but worth the wait. The doubles were awesome and the rotis just as great. Friendly folks too. Will go back as many times as I can.

If you want food thats so good it makes you want to stop eating, come to Tara’s. I ate my doubles twenty minutes ago and I’m still talking about how life changing the experience was.

Really great Caribbean food. May be Trinidadian. Service wasn't really exisitant as we ordered from the bar and picked it up ourselves. Dingy area for slightly expensive food, but good portions! XL menu with lots of goodies to try! I plan on being back tho, now that I know what to expect.

First time trying Trinidadian style Caribbean food. The curry had a nice kick to it, with a good flavor. Served with red beans and rice and fresh, crisp cabbage. Very nice dinner.
