Excellent premier steakhouse dining experience. Amazing steak offerings for any palate. Fish and foul also offered. Superb and by far the biggest wine list to select a wine from to accompany your dinner. Delectable desserts in the dessert room after your dinner upstairs in a personal private setting. In short, a dining experience like no other. Call ahead for reservations. 60 day reservation window. Premium times book early and quickly 60 days out. A must do in Tampa!

Roman was our waiter and was absolutely amazing. Best meal of my life, especially the gluten free French onion soup. Went to the dessert room afterwards, got to sit in the piano room, and the macadamia nut ice cream is a must 🔥🔥🔥

You can't find a better place to eat on your birthday! The service is stellar, and the food and wine are wonderful. Definitely plan to stay for a kitchen and wine cellar tour between dinner and dessert. Dessert was an experience in itself...very memorable! I love the history of the place as well.

So I am late with leaving my review we went in September. It was not what I was expecting. They were booked out 3 months for an early evening time. I made the reservation around June and we did not go until September. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. Much to my surprise it was rather bright in the dining room, not what I was expecting. The tables were small and close together. It was not very romantic. The food and drinks were good. I had the Bern’s Old Fashioned and my husband had the Pineapple Slap. We both enjoyed our drinks, well made. I ordered the Lump Crab Cake for my meal and added the Creamed Spinach. The crab cake was very meaty and well seasoned. The spinach was delicious but it did have bacon and it was not listed on the menu. I ate it but I had to pick out the bacon as I do not eat red meat. My husband had the 8 oz Filet Mignon which comes with French Onion Soup, a side salad, baked potato, onion rings and the vegetable of the evening which was fine green beans. He said the steak cooked was to perfection and it was well seasoned. He really loved the soup. We did the entire experience which included the wine tour and the dessert room. I tried an after dinner cocktail in the dessert room, the Just One S’More it was tasty. I also tried the Crispy Pear Cobbler which was amazing. My husband tried the Peanut Butter Truffle he enjoyed it but liked the Crispy Pear Cobbler better. Overall it was a good experience, I expected more being that we had to wait so long. I would not return for just a date but for other occasions.

We recently dined with a party of 10 and Drew was our waiter, To say that our experience was the best is an understatement. Drew from what we understand has been a waiter at this restaurant for 40 years. We have dined here many times, but have never had the experience that we did with Drew as our waiter. His knowledge of the restaurant, and his overall demeanor was second to none. I cannot imagine that the founder of the restaurant knew more about it than him. We will never dine at this restaurant again without Drew being our waiter. What an amazing experience, and even more an amazing waiter.

I made reservations for wife's birthday and we were impressed. Ashley was our server and the first female Captain at Berns. She was very attentive, friendly and her recommendations were accurate. My wife had the lobster, salad, green beans and I had the Donovan Ribeye, loaded baked potato, salad, and onion soup. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection. We also took a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar and went upstairs to have the best desserts in Tampa. I had the pumpkin bread pudding with ginger ice cream and a cookie and my wife had the banana pie with freshly sliced bananas. This is our new favorite restaurant. Thank you for a great experience.

Wow. Excellent Steakhouse - definitely one of the better restaurants in Florida. In my opinion, it's the transparency of the operation that impressed me the most, from the details provided on the front of the menu to the tour of the kitchen to see how the food was prepared along with information about the operation, and then the tour of what has to be easily the largest wine celler in all of Florida - I believe they said they have over 100,000+ bottles of wine on the premises with another 700,000+ in their warehouse! The place is amazing. We had a fantastic meal, an interesting tour of the place, and then dessert in their dessert room with live piano music and in-house made desserts! In fact, everything we had was made there, the breads, the sauces, the dressings, the soup, etc. And all of it was excellent. Definitely have to try the Macadamia Vanilla Bean Vinaigrette on your salad! And we tried the Gorgonzola Fondue as our steak sauce, it was really good! This is a must try if you like steakhouses - this is definitely one of the best in Florida. Before visiting, be sure to read about their dress code on their website, it is very important. And book way in advance (60 days is the max they book in advance) - it's not easy getting a reservation at this place, we know because it took about 6 attempts before we finally managed to get one!

It took my husband years to convince me to make a reservation. I am thankful I finally conceded. The experience at Berns was incredible! The staff truly takes their level of service and knowledge of their products to another level! The food is beyond! The attention to detail and freshness is apparent. Highly recommend dinner, drinks, the tour and the dessert room experience!

Second time here, went with my family for my mom’s birthday and we had such a great time. Excellent service and excellent food. Our server, Lee, was so knowledgeable about the steaks and wine list. He picked the perfect wine for us that was within the price range we were comfortable with and reassured us we won’t be disappointed and he was absolutely right! The tour of the kitchen and wine cellar is a must! Seeing the chaos behind the scenes made us appreciate the hard work that was put into our wonderful night. We will definitely be back!

Such a unique dining experience! You are first welcomed with a drink while you wait to be seated. Appetizers come first followed by the entrees. Each steak comes with a soup, salad, onion rings, vegetable of the day, and a baked potato. The meal is spaced out well so you don’t feel too full throughout the courses. The food was delicious!! After dinner you are given a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar. Very special experience. Finally for dessert, you are taken to a dessert room and sit in a private table. The dessert options are seemingly endless. I loved the dining experience and the food was fantastic !!
