This quaint French Bistro is tucked away and offers diners inside and patio seating. The dinner menu has several options for appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. The scallops in puff pastry were superb, prepared to perfection. The presentation of the rack of lamb was impressive. Will be back!
wanted something different, and I wanted to forego any trendy, short-lived restaurants. I found this quaint spot because it took over a space that used to be our favorite cafe when we lived in the area long before kids. I googled to see what had taken it over and found amazing reviews that made my mouth water!
It's a small french bistro that's only open five nights a week for a few hours. Family owned and operated by a lovely french couple. Chef Jean-Christophe worked in Michelin star restaurants for years in France. His wife, Segolene, is a lovely woman who made great suggestions and served all the beautiful dishes.
I started with a french martini and my husband with his go-to lemon drop. Our hors d'oeuvres was smoked salmon and capers on toast. For my entree I chose The scallops on a bed of spinach, topped with a puff pastry, and served with a shallot sauce. Rich, creamy and wonderful. My husband chose the rack of lamb with potatoes au gratin. It was served in a beautiful flaming presentation. For dessert we sipped cappuccinos while enjoying our lemon meringue and chocolate tarts.
We were the youngest couple by 30 years. It was quiet and lovely listening to other patrons talk with Segolene about their families coming from France or their past European trips.
I've hesitated to write a review because it's too good to write anything. Every dish we ordered recalled memories of when we were in Paris a few years ago.
The chef's artistry one-hundred percent brings out the exquisite flavors of the ingredients; you can't skip the dessert, it makes a beautiful ending to the dinner, and we will be coming back pretty soon.
The food was exceptional!!!! The atmosphere was wonderful!!! Will definitely go here again. I had the Trout Almondine. So delicious.
Great food and a nice small place. But has a large patio area if you want to sit outside.
Wow!
What a delicious experience. The onion soup was great, the Coq au Vin was spectacular and the scallops just perfect. Now, if you come you also have to get a side of french fries… We couldn’t figure out what they did with them, crispy and just perfect. The garlic sauce was an explosion of flavors at a perfect level and the bread was just having the crunchiness of a perfectly baked bread.
We are leaving with a box of macaroons and a little bottle of garlic since they sell it to go!
The attention of the owner and service was outstanding.! Thank you!
A find- Really good French food! Even the bread & garlic sauce to start! We had escargot, salmon + beets, chevre salad, sole meunier, rack of lamb, & lemon meringue for dessert. Herbed broiled tomato was amazing! Next time will try mussels, steak, duck, a different dessert. Ambience is fine, the shaded part of patio is best. They're understaffed so service spotty & slow but understandable during covid worker shortage, & clearly family owned which we respect! Nice wines. Closes at 8 so for the earlier crowd.
C'est magnifique! This french bistro is tucked in a corner of a shopping mall bet is so worth seeking. The ambiance of white table cloth tables and an intimate setting makes it very enjoyable. The menu is packed with delights savory and sweet to tempt and satisfy. I know I will go back again and again.
Who knew going to France from Scottsdale would be so convenient. Voila French Bistro owners and France natives Ségolène Gros and Jean-Christophe will make your French dining experience so authentic you'll have to remind yourself that you're in Arizona. The cuisine is exquisite, the atmosphere is charming and the service is very welcoming and attentive.
A very special bistro tucked away in a strip mall. They have an excellent menu with top-tier dishes. Excellent pork pâte, smoked salmon with goat cheese, Nicoisse salad for starters. The duck l'orange, rack of lamb and salmon were amazing entree's. And the Isle Flotante and Tarte de Chocolat were quite nice for dessert. A great small intimate location with excellent service.
