Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. Sat on the back deck in 112 degree heat (oh, but it was a “dry heat”...lol) and the fans they had kept it very comfortable.

I had a local rośe, a date & bacon salad, the swordfish entreé, and dessert wine (forget what it’s called) - all amazingly delicious!! Food came fresh, tasty, hot and super flavorful... I was in town on business and searched for great Mexican and this place came up. Definitely didn’t disappoint and would go there again next time! In addition, the ambiance is pretty cool; the restaurant is adjacent to the Mission Church next door to which the bartender told me that the restaurant used to be part of the church at some point in history - a bit eerie, but authentic looking inside and pretty in my opinion! Staff is kind and welcoming.

First time coming to Old Town and the Mission looked like an amazing place to try for Sunday Brunch. Our Server was very informative and attentive, as well as friendly. The decor was so cool! The food was very elevated and chef inspired. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed everything! Thanks for a great experience!

We ended up here on a recommendation from the hotel concierge and felt lucky to get a reservation. I thought the place had three different ambiences, the front porch looked quiet and comfortable, the inside was dark & mysterious, and the back porch was light, airy, and active. We chose the back porch as our reservation was for outside and it was very enjoyable. Despite the occasional fly or curious/ hungry birds, we enjoyed the atmosphere and energy. The service was very prompt and efficient while the food was excellent. We had heard about the table service guacamole and it was incredible if you like guacamole, the best we had ever had. We also had the fish & steak tacos that didn’t disappoint. Overall, it was a wonderful evening and we hope to return in the near future.

Tableside guac was delicious and fresh, and the duck rice was good as well but a bit too salty. The steak tacos were pretty average and nothing special. The venue is pretty cool though, located inside a church.

Beautiful establishment. Prices were a bit high and portions were small. Great chips and salsa and the staff was very friendly. I had the margarita and it was excellent. You definitely need reservations on the weekends. Tacos were decent but the table side Guac and halibut were great.

i’m speechless. the food service and atmosphere are all wonderful. the off the shoulder pork with side of street corn was one of the best meals i’ve ever had in my life. our server Cole was so friendly and very knowledgeable on the food and helped us make a great decision ordering. it’s my birthday and they surprised me with the most delicious dessert ever. i think it was a pumpkin bread with ice cream. so delicious. make your reservation now. the pork tacos feed two for $40 which is honestly so affordable and i promise you will blow you away. definitely coming back and bringing everyone i know.

When my wife and I walked in and the restaurant was filled with energy. We knew we were going to have a good experience. That was further solidified when we met our server Aaron. He was so energetic and we’ve never had a server as passionate about telling us about the menu. It didn’t feel like a spiel that the chef told him to say. Because of this we took his recommendations seriously. We weren’t disappointed. The Mission and Cucumber Jalapeño margaritas were delicious. Then we ordered the Duck Confit Empanadas. We’re not fans of mushrooms but these were AWESOME. The Skirt Steak Tacos and Chorizo Porchetta were rich with flavor and great choices. The Oaxacan Cheesy Rice as a side is a must have have. It was so complex with flavors even though it sounds do simple. Chef Carter’s menu is inventive without losing the authenticity of Mexican food. I will definitely go back to The Mission if I am ever back in Scottsdale.

Great spot! Lively spot for Mexican food (was already filling up 5 minutes after they opened at 11). They had a weekend brunch deal for all you can eat pork tacos for $17 which was hard to beat. Had that mixed with a flight of tequila - very good! Had great help from our waiter picking out tequilas and walking us through the menu. Only lost a star on atmosphere cause it was a little too dark inside where we sat.

Went for our company's Christmas party. We were seated on the front patio, not a lot of room for 12, and was very dark. We had to pull out cell phones to read menu's. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the guacamole made at the table & the street corn for appetizers. I had the Island salmon, and my date had the filet. Both were so good we had nothing to take home. Make sure you save room for dessert or you will regret it. I tasted all and so decadent. I guess we will have to go back.

Great tasting food. But the portions and price are not cool. $16.50 for a small bowl of guacamole. $20 for 3 tacos and no sides. The taco tortillas were TINY (see pic of tortilla). If you’re looking for the endless chips and salsa and a big portion of rib sticking Latin food this is not the place for you.

My wife and I visited twice during our anniversary, and Amanda was great and the staff were amazing, Aaron was our server! the guacamole is a must have and with the scallops you won't get disappointed. They were very welcoming and accommodating. Good music not too loud and good ambiance. Congratulations to the owner and of course the Staff of The Mission ♡
