Great gourmet latin restaurant. Excellent preparation and presentation. Staff was nice and attentive. Small but diverse menu. Pork carnitas were great. The meatball appetizer was also excellent. Eat outside if weather permits. We really enjoyed it.
The chips & salsa, and main entries were all absolutely fantastic, so was the service. We had a tour at the manufacturing side of things afterwards also. The owner & owner's wife were very accommodating. Highly recommended. (In the picture, mango enchiladas)
BTW (I think) Rico bought them and re-branded it to Rico. The old dishes are still there and they added even more to the menu.
When it comes to Mexican food you have to appreciate a Restaurant that goes beyond the basics. Trust me I love tacos and burritos, but the reality is that Mexican food is so much reacher than that. Try the Huitlacoche Quesadilla is a Vegan option and is a delicious appetizer. My all time favorite entree is Chile en Nogada. And for dessert try the chocolate (mole) cake with vanilla ice cream.
Frida's Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in SLC for the awesome food, art, people and events. Definitely worth a visit!
Simply perfect! This is a great place to enjoy a great classy meal and some nice drinks. Everything I tried was tasty and came out looking professional!
This is a favorite although the last time there it wasn’t quite as good as prior times. Food is upscale Mexican as well as the cocktails. I like the pineapple jalapeño margarita.
Decor was bright and fun, so much to look at and I found it actually entertaining. The service was fantastic despite the fact that I was there with a young child, this is not what I would consider a place typically catering to children. The food was beyond what I imagined. Beautiful, artistic and delicious was each and every item we ordered! I will definitely go back but with my girlfriends or husband next time! Thanks for the amazing experience.
This place is delicious. Not since moving away from Mexico have I had such delicious Mexican food. I am a bit biased, because it turns out the chef is from Veracruz, which is where I spent my summers. All the recipes are the chef's grandmother's, and they are as delicious as you'd expect.
Worth every penny
It's a hidden gem. Not many people know about it....but highly highly recommended. We tried their fish tacos and veggie enchilada... And both were amazing. The taste was authentic and fresh for all the dishes. We had their nachos too... Which came with interesting salsas on the side.
This place is truly amazing!
When you drive there, it feels first a bit surprising that you end somewhere in the nowhere between warehouses in a dead-end street. Having that said, the restaurant is surrounded by some really fancy and old school looking buildings. In fact, I instantly felt like being in L.A. visiting some cool, hidden gem.
And a gem it is indeed. The atmosphere and the vibes are amazing. It feels like you are somewhere in Spain or Mexico and the music playing just fosters that feeling.
The next thing you'll notice is their rather small menu. There are only a couple of dishes to choose from, but it tastes so good! I loved their salmon. Not only was it extremely fresh, the presentation was great too and so was the flavoring. They go low on salt and it feels like their are no added flavors. In fact, their seasoning is spot on. Also their taco starters are great.
And did I mention the Margaritas? Wow! You can't stop after you had your first one. They are spot on and their mixing is creative.
Service is attentive and knows what they are doing.
I can't wait for summer to test our their patio. The atmosphere out there must be just perfect.
I loved everything about this place, one of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City!
