It's your classic dive bar with your not-so-classic dive bar food! The drinks selection is solid, the prices are very affordable, and the food is excellent! You definitely will wait for the food as everyone there is ordering chicken, as well, but you've got a great place to wait until your food is delivered to your table!

Neighbor dive bar at its best! The fried chicken and jojos were delicious. It usually takes 45+ minutes from the time you order to when you get your food, but with the wait everytime. Drinks and food are both well priced. I highly recommend this place for a low key hangout spot. This is definitely one of those hidden gems. Tip your wait staff!

Definitely my favorite dive bar in Portland. Nothing bad to say. The greater majority of the patrons are very friendly. It is a place you will run into people you know. Absolutely amazing fried chicken. Well worth the wait. The atmosphere is much more lax than your typical bar and grill. All of the bartenders work very hard and in my opinion go above and beyond to maintain the whole bar during busy hours while cooking lots of fried chicken.. also there's just one fryer so best be ready to relax and enjoy your time. Love Reel M In Tavern. Y'all rock.

It's a dive bar with great fried chicken. Long known for some of the best chicken in town. Might not have met expectations, which was not fair.

Dude! Their chicken is absolutely amazing. The literal best JoJos I've ever had and cannot imagine there will ever be anything better than the way they were made. 11 bones for 3 legs and 4 HUGE jojos. My tummy is happy and they were so friendly to boot. A great collection of drinks as well! I will be definitely back with friends in tow.

I don't know what the hell this place. I just love it. I visited in Summer when it was still hot as hell and I just needed to grab a beer before going home. I get inside it's the dive bar heaven AND they serve fried chicken and jojos. (Make sure you call them jojos.) Not only is the food great, it's really good fried chicken (I'm a southerner, so yes, I know best on this one), it's affordable, and very filling. You will get your fill at Reel M Inn. I had a few drafts of domestic swill so who knows about the good beer or cocktails. Decor is nice if you go for that sort of thing. Patronage was a lively mix of folks. 10 out of 10. Would recommend.

Awesome dive bar with hands down, the best chicken in Portland. The Jo Jos are amazing as well. The only bad thing is that you have to wait at least a couple of minutes to start eating otherwise you will burn your mouth. The staff has always been super friendly every time I have been there. My friends and I love this place and drive from the Sunset area at least once a month.

On one of my first visits I had no idea why the chicken was taking so long, and when I asked they politely pointed out it was being fried and was almost done. And then I had to wait a while to eat it because it was so hot. And it was worth it. Overall, it’s a classic dive bar of above average quality. It was unfortunate for me to discover it just before moving to the west side, but I enjoyed having a beer, playing games, and getting a whole chicken.
