High quality ingredients go into the delicious foods here at a very popular Italian spot that is very busy. Italian cold cuts and Sicilian pizza are both excellent. If you like more sauce I would suggest you ask for it as their pizza has light sauce.

Absolutely without a doubt the BEST Italian dinner I have ever had. And the atmosphere is great. Every aspect of this establishment is authentic and I love it. Food tastes SO fresh. Decent prices too for LARGE portions.
We decided to try this place based on reviews and I am so glad we did!! The food was absolutely scrumptious!! I had the Chicken Chesapeake and my husband had the Pollo Pepe Verde, we shared bites of each other’s plates, my oh my! We come to Maryland a few times a year and this place has been added to my favorites in maps so we can come back and slowly work our way through the menu because the food was easily some of the best Italian food I have even had!!
Food was amazing! High quality homemade Italian food. The real thing! I loved the veal parm and the boys said the calzone was incredible. Will be back again when in the area.
The next time someone asks you what you want for lunch or dinner, say Italian. And then head over to Mamma Roma…The Best Italian restaurant in the area, hands down!! They not o Lo have great tasting food but their entire staff are all amazing! So friendly and down to earth and family oriented. I just love this place!!
Simply incredible. Their pizzas and pasta dishes (try the chicken arugula pasta!) impressed the food critics in us who have been to Italy - comfort food! They are a very busy restaurant so please have patience. They do offer delivery and also can bring your food out to you if you pull your car up to the curb by the restaurant, which is great for those who need to be more cautious given COVID. One suggestion I have would be to offer a gluten free pizza crust (just because I want to bring one of my friends here!).
This is by far the best place to get real, authentic NY-style pizza and Italian food in the surrounding DMV area. We’ve been coming to Mama Roma’s for years and the food quality stays consistent. A few months ago we took our first covid trip up and ordered two pizzas and bruschetta (we live in Northern VA and the trip is so worth it). The food came out perfectly.
Our recent trip to Mama Roma’s was this past Saturday. It was booming with people, luckily we got an outside table. (They still do drive up pick-up, which is super convenient) We ordered two pies, Chicken Parm, salad, and a Cannoli for dessert…again, the food was incredible!
I HIGHLY suggest if you are in the area, or feel like taking a road trip for really good pizza/Italian food, head up to Mama Roma’s…you will not be disappointed! 🍝
I came from New York and have very specific expectations of what a real, authentic NY pizza should taste like. This place blew me away with their NY pizza which is the real deal. I’m so excited to find that in MD and will definitely try their Italian food too. Thank you for satisfying my NY pizza craving which reminds me of home!
