Avenue Cafe

Everything is so fresh and tasty. We had the quiche, granola with fruit, egg croissant sandwich, and zucchini bread. Everything was awesome. You can tell this is a place that puts a lot of time and effort into everything they do. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. We ate here twice during our stay here and will make it a point to come here again next time we’re in NOLA.

This is my second time reviewing Avenue Cafe. First time I’ve tried their curry chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was flavorful with crunchy bits of celery. It was good but it could have used a little salt and pepper, which I added. The croissant was buttery and soft and the chips were super crunchy. I also ordered a raspberry tea which was really refreshing! I got my lunch to-go but would have eaten in the restaurant if I’d had more time. I like the quiet atmosphere and the big picture windows that are perfect for watching the passersbyers on St. Charles. Will absolutely be back to enjoy their breakfast and lunch items!

This was my coffee shop away from home while on my visit to Nola. I walked here from my hotel daily for cold brew coffee and warmed gluten free Zucchini bread. It was yummy and just the start to days of ruining my liver and dancing in the streets. It's right of the trolley car so I could see when my ride was on the way. The staff is mad cool and they became like my cousins in a manner of three days. Totally worth the walk for me.

I ordered the vegan sandwich on a bagel. Overall it was good but I think what would take it over the top would be adding a vegan egg and switching the bagel to an "Everything Bagel" or at least give the option for more than a plain bagel. The smoothie was great! It was kind of liquify at first but after it sat and i stirred it up, it thickened up. If you don't like the taste of celery, make sure you ask for the smoothing without it because it will over power the drink. The service was amazing. They were respectful and patient and I loved their teamwork.

Great food, amazing service!!! We were only here for a few days but wanted an authentic breakfast. We were not disappointed. My mom and Aunt got mimosas. They had wine in them instead of champagne, super cool and different! Would definitely return! I recommend the blueberry muffin (if you are lactose intolerant I do not recommend the muffins).
