Wonderful food and nice staff. Some pretty unique options and good variety of salads and vegetables available. As well as some good comfort food like shrimp and grits and biscuits and gravy. In a very cool neighborhood, highly recommend.
Love this place. There aren't too many tables but the food is amazing. We had the tofu scramble and the French toast. I highly recommend getting the fried potato. Coffee and silverware are self serve but they do bring the food out. Great food and service!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Stayed in NewOrleans for few days a friend of mine recommended me this spot and I just love it. Great food, friendly staff, it was a delicious experience, they put a lot of food. Costa Rican breakfast was delicious, but in general everything we tried was great
Without a doubt my favorite breakfast spot of our entire trip. The staff is awesome the food is perfect and of course they're known for their cupcakes which were amazing. What a friendly place to dine in. We will definitely be back there every trip we make to New Orleans.
Great spot for cakes and treats. I was visiting New Orleans and a friend of mine in the Bywater neighborhood highly recommended the Cake Cafe to get a King Cake from there. I also picked up an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with tomatoes and it was fresh and delicious. I also got a cappuccino and it was quite hot which is how I like it. It's a nice neighborhood cafe with old chairs that really suits the charm of the place. They have inside and outside seating. Local and city wide folks show up here. Staff are working hard and are polite.
We got the roasted vegetable omelet and crab sandwich.... AMAZING FOOD!! With wonderful service, I also got the apple and goats cheese king cake to go, probably the best king cake I have ever had. Breakfast was so delicious, everything was fresh and not overly indulgent, deserves more than 5 stars. Also awesome coffee!!
Great breakfast, great service and nice folks. A little quirky, you feel like a local. Away from the crowds but still popular. Fried Potato Salad, how do you not order that? Cupcake with breakfast? Sur, its only $1 more.
We were on our road trip from Virginia to Texas and planned to take a 3 hour stop at New Orleans. I was craving for some sweet and savory and found this place in google. The place is warm and cozy and at the end if Quiet corner of Chartres street. They have a nice outdoor seating. We tried French toast, chocolate croissant and hot chai. I must say the croissant was the best! Buttery, crispy and very chocolaty! They don’t have many options for cakes or pastry but whatever they have surely very well made!
The place was crowded @ 11am, however the line went fast. Hostess took our name, within 10mon we ordered at counter and s he made up a table. The crab omelet was delicious however it was a lil dry, it needs some sort of cream sauce in it or on top. Not 1 shell in the entire dish..The biscuit was large n tasty. The serve yourself coffee thermos, need to be hotter,as temp was luke warm...The corn beef hash was lil dry, meaning the eggs overcooked--dryed out., but at least served HOT as Most breakfast foods should be...The experience was Nice and i would RETURN again...Everyone who worked there was very friendly n courteous. Very upbeat n trendy crowds. Looks of great Art work displayed on the walls. RESTROOM--UNISEX--VERY CLEAN w/ VERT HOT WATER W/ Napkins available. Very popular place,it was a beautiful morning so many people sat outside..The management was very effective, efficent, made sure orders came out in a timely manner. It all seemed to work like clockwork..Nice Place for Good food, very Pleased. Prices very fair & Fairly nice food portions served.
Amazing place. Very small place, looking most likely as dormitory kitchen. Very friendly, artistically decorated and delicious smell. Baking goods are excellent, coffee as good as could be and please, came early. After the day most of the pastries will be sold out.
