OMG! This place is amazing! The High Hat exceeded our expectations. If you are in New Orleans this place is a must. Plus, so reasonably priced you'll be amazed too. I am an independent person who really actually ate there. I have no interest in the restaurant or any reason to exaggerate my experience. The place is just that unbelievably good and affordable. I didn't think restaurants like High Hat still existed.

One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The High Hat burger is my favorite. They make their pimento cheese themselves, as well as their pickles and you can taste the difference. Their cocktails are also very good and unique. I only wish they took reservations, as they can get very busy. But it’s worth it!

Authentic New Orleans food with excellent service. The fried oyster Po-boy was one of the best I've ever had, the sweet potato salad was delicious too. Love the Boudin plate, Pimento Macaroni Cheese, Sweet Potato Salad. Basically, it's all good Monday is Red Beans & Rice with great fried chicken

Been eating here for several years. It has never disappointed. I heard the management has changed, so we will see. To me, it is more of a brunch place. I’ve waited before, but not more than 10”. Cocktails are good and generous. Mostly comfort food to me. You should leave happy, full, and ready for a siesta!

A casual dining favorite. I stopped here to grab a bite after my intended destination happened to close early. I have been here before and decided to try another item on the menu besides red beans. I decided on the chicken and sausage gumbo, which I paired with "The Champagne Of Beers" a High Life. I absolutely love the atmosphere because the restaurant is surrounded by windows so you don't miss anything both inside and out.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but this place is a treat on the inside. Great food and service. I was pleasantly surprised with the Sweet Potato Salad and will have to try it again some time. I've heard the Gumbo is hit or miss but I really liked it.

Great little gem. Have walked by here many times but never tried until now and so glad I did. Started with the gumbo. I am in no way a gumbo expert but this was the best I have ever eaten. Seasoned to the edge of too much but just enough. Shrimp poboy was great. Shrimp was corn meal crusted and crunchy. If you like burgers you should definitely try one here. We had the one eyed bacon cheeseburger and it was huge, juicy and delicious. Had to try the grits and they were great. The only item that was not a definite to repeat was the blueberry pie. The fresh whipped cream was perfect but the crust on the pie was a little flat and too brown. Overall a great place. Want to go back again and try several of the other items.

First place we ate in when we arrived in New Orleans, and we were pretty impressed. My daughter ordered a burger and stated it was the best she's ever had. The fries were just the way I like them (natural tasting), the Mac n'cheese was the best either of us had ever tasted. It was the best thing on our table. The fried chicken was above average good and crispy. Service was also great, with our server being super helpful with everything.
