Extremely cheap and flavorful. What more could you ask for? Can't go wrong with any of the cream options. Ask the staff for recs. A few big benches to sit on outside on the side of the building. Add condensed milk to anything you get
The coolest place! There is always a line but time to check out the old pictures on the wall and choose your size and flavor, there are so many and unique kinds. Many fruit flavors, cream of flavors, and special seasonal ones too. Whatever flavor you get, and you can get two, just costs a little more but worth it, will taste exactly like that flavor, even cream of wedding cake. The ice blocks are loaded by hand onto the shaver that makes the fluffiest snow. Really neat watching the workers do it and pour the syrup over the snow. Highly recommend especially on a warm day!
This place has a very loyal following and there seems to always be a line. I was impressed with how they created the ice and made seen like a cream versus ice. I had the creamy blueberry. While this was not the best snow cone I've had, I do think there are other flavors I could try that I like better.
The best. A small part of me wishes I had never went to Hansen’s so I wouldn’t have to think about the most perfect creation I had, a Satsuma and Ginger-Cayenne. It was so perfect, sweet and spicy. My husband and daughter loved their’s too, but mine was the best, by far.
I went home and bought a shaved ice machine, but our snow will never be as fluffy and the flavors will never be as good.
A absolute MUST when in New Orleans. There is nothing like Hansen’s, their ice is unlike anywhere else. And yes you will have to stand in line around the building in 90 degree heat, but it is worth it believe me.
We saw this place on a tv show so thought we’d make the short drive. In a cool neighborhood with great flavour options - worth the trip!
They were good and the ice is super soft which I love especially considering I just had 4 teeth pulled the line was long but they moved very fast and it was super affordable and good taste as well I would recommend it
So many options, so good when it’s 100 degrees outside. There are menus and prices, but they’re kind of winging it. It’ll be like $5-10 a person depending on what you get, all good. I had orange dreamsicle, which was vanilla bean syrup, orange cream syrup, cream of ice cream syrup(?) and sooooo good. Others in the group had blueberry cream with ice cream on top, cream of coconut, strawberry, and lime / raspberry.
Delicious shave ice. If you like any tartness, try satsuma with any of the classic flavors.
Best in town. The ice is soft and smooth. The flavors are unbeatable. Fresh fruit flavors. You get a lot in a cup. Delicious! Just be patient in line because it's totally worth it. There's usually 2-3 registers going at once. Enjoy!
