We brought a large group tonight for my daughter's 17th birthday. Megan was our server and I can't say enough good things about her! She is one of, if not the, best server we've ever had. No one's drinks got less than half empty, when you asked for something, she had to you almost immediately. Aside from the stellar service, the food, as always,was delicious. So glad to have this little gem so close to home.
What an amazing experience we just had. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We have edamame, yum yum roll, Gainesville roll, butterfly roll and summer roll. All great choices. When we finished dinner the manager spent time getting to know us and let us try the fried Oreos. With everything from hibachi to sushi to Thai food, we will definitely return. One of our new favorite restaurants in Gainesville.
Bluefin has got to be the best Asian restaurant I’ve been to in Gainesville. Fantastic food, great staff and service. My waiters and waitresses have always been very accommodating for my tastes in spice and allergies. It’s no wonder they win so much in Best of Hall!
The food is great! We ate a roll in 2 minutes, and the pad see ew was tasty; it passed my standard for good Thai food. I just wished the Pad See Ew was a more savory, but other than that this is a great place to eat at! Peggy was so welcoming; the service was great! Would definitely recommend!
The food was very good and the prices were quite reasonable. We both enjoyed a three roll sushi lunch special. It includes choice of soup and a salad. I ordered an extra Spider Roll which was very tasty!
Most of all I recommend sitting at Emily's Station / tables! The service was great! She was prompt, personable and professional!
The food and atmosphere are really nice! I got the rainbow roll which was really good. It’s a really nice place to take a family, there are no TVs in there so it’s easier to focus on who you are there with. We got to speak to the co owner who is really sweet and obviously cares about her staff a lot. I’m excited to bring more friends back!

Today, day after Valentines Day, was our first time dining here. The restaurant still had their decorations up and gave us chocolate treats when we closed out our check. Our server Lisa was knowledgeable of the menu and her suggestions were impressive. The food presentation, delivery time to the table and flavors were spot on! Their prices were very good, it was less than $40 for food and drinks. We will most definitely return to try other items from their menu.
While staying overnight here in Gainesville, we asked the clerk at the hotel where was a good place to eat. She recommended Bluefin Hibachi & Sushi. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and our waitress Lisa was friendly and helpful. The sauces they served with the food was outstanding as well so we purchased a few to take back home. The staff were very friendly!
This is an amazing place to spend an evening out! Came here for my baby sisters birthday and had an great time! Service was bar none so great and wonderful! Hostess Bailey was wonderful and helpful, our waitress Emily was perfect and Ms. Peggy made sure we were completely taken care of! Thanks BLUEFIN for a wonderful birthday dinner! ❤️🎉🥳
From the freshness of the food, to the friendliness of the service, this is a great experience and has been every single time we've went. The sushi is always top notch. The ginger salad dressing and the miso soup is unbeatable! Truly one of my favorite restaurants.
