El Tio Tex Mex Grill

My family dines here often as well as El Tio in Falls Church….terrific restaurant… never disappoints. Have met the owner who is ‘hands on’ which I consider a huge plus. The food is just delicious… everything we have tried. We interacted with the manager who was delightful as well as helpful. Last but not least is our server, Luis… what a suberb one he was! Ask for him…we always will… although the entire group will treat you well!

We love the team as much as we love the food at El Tio! Oscar runs a successful restaurant and they are the best Mexican Restaurant in our area. Hands down. We have used their catering recently and it was perfect. We fed over 70 guests and everyone raved about their food. Two days ago we brought in a large party to the restaurant and they were on top of everything. We didn’t wait on any food items, drinks were fantastic and they accommodated everyone in our party. We will continue to dine in frequently at El Tio as they come highly recommended!

Food was fantastic, the bathrooms were clean and the whole place was neatly decorated and clearly well maintained, albeit I found a stain on my napkin cloth that contained my silverware. The fajita for two was a little expensive, at $42 for minimal amounts of grilled chicken and only one platter with rice/beans for two people, at least, we didn’t have any leftovers. My father also asked for chips, but the waiter forgot to bring some and we had to remind him. My nacho platter at $13 was certainly delicious and at least filling. Overall, I wouldn’t mind coming back, but I do know of better options.

First time visiting this place. I am impressed by the staff and the quality of the food. Portions are huge and mostly very delicious and fresh. Ceviche is one of kind, but to warn you it’s big so be careful ordering the second course. 😉!! Fajita was one of kind. This place is becoming my favorite Mexican!!! Keep up the good job guys!!!

it was a pleasant experience. While there were a few hits and misses with the food, I would still give it 4 stars for the delicious cassedia and other positives. Let's start with the negatives. The lomo saltado rice and beans were not up to my expectations in terms of taste. They lacked the desired flavor and didn't quite hit the mark. However, it's worth mentioning that taste preferences vary from person to person, so others may still enjoy it. On the other hand, the cassedia was a standout dish! It was packed with flavor, the cheese was gooey and melted to perfection, and the filling was scrumptious. It definitely left me craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with friendly and attentive service from the staff. The menu had a decent variety of options, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.I would definitely recommend giving this Mexican restaurant a try, especially for their mouthwatering cassedia!
