Burger was amazing and waitress and staff were helpful and accommodating for our children. Steak salad was also good. Bathrooms are tiny with no changing tables.
One of the Best Kept Secrets in Town!. I have been enjoying Bear's lunches for years and continue to frequent this establishment for lunch on occasion.

Great out-of-the-way place. You have to want to get to the Bear's Den, as it's in the basement of 405 Capitol Street (the old Daniel Boone hotel). The food is pretty greasy but oh gawd it's wonderful. I highly recommend the steak & cheese sandwich, which features a wonderfully seasoned sliced beef with melting provolone cheese and you can get it on a French loaf or whole wheat bread. The bar itself isn't much to look at but the crowd, made up mostly of 405 Capitol employees and other nearby worker bees, is pretty nice. It's very much a neighborhood/Happy Hour bar. Price-wise it's on par with the rest of Capitol St.
LOVE IT!. I love Bears Den. They have the best wings and burgers around. Please do NOT skip on the blue cheese. I have them sell it to me in pints! It's delicious!!!!
The best. We go to the den twice a week, and we have never had bad food there. I would recommend this to anyone.

A classic sandwiches every day and a daily blue plate special and soup during the week, Bear's Den regulars will call their orders for baked steak in to make sure it doesn't run out before they get there. Burgers are made to order, steak sandwiches will fill you up, and the chili cheese fries make some people drive 30 miles for an order.
Ray's usually behind the counter, and Bear's in the kitchen. Nice folks you ought to go see.
We enjoyed our 50th High School Reunion there and the food & staff were amazing! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We loved the food and atmosphere. We will definitely go back for great burgers, fries, wings or anything they’re serving! Don’t miss the Bear’s Den!
Absolutely hands down the best food around. Ive tried all of it and they never disappoint! Well worth the money And the staff are wonderful. Even when I order over the phone they treat me like theyve known me forever!

I absolutely love coming here. I have visited The Bear's Den twice and have never been disappointed. They make their fries fresh and their cheeseburgers are great. The first time I visited I picked it out of several restaurants since my father and I were going to a doctor's appointment. So I was very pleased when I found this restaurant. I definitely recommend it.
