I love this restaurant, and try to get a reservation there whenever I'm in Charleston... Last night, I started with a "small" tossed salad (which was actually pretty big) with a very light, tasty lemon vinaigrette. Bread that accompanied it was a sourdough, infused with orange and rosemary. Fabulous! For dinner, I had wood-grilled Grouper with tropical salsa, which came with parmesan mashed potatoes and julienne vegetables. It was wonderful! A glass of Simi Chardonnay completed the experience, and my waitress, Riley, was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I was dining alone and was seated in a very comfortable small booth. Even though they have a large dining room with high ceilings, there was no sense that I was being stuck in a corner or out of the way, and I appreciated that! As I said to start - I love this place. Best seafood around, and a consistently great experience!

Excellent ceviche. The fried calamari with aioli was delicate and perfect. Vibrant warehouse atmosphere with soaring ceilings, a lively fully visible working kitchen, personable, bright, bustling, and busy staff, and a friendly crowd where everyone was talking to everyone. Oh, and 1/2 price bottles of good wine and really wonderful live music on a Sunday night- we had a great time!

Great service and atmosphere. Wish I could say the same about the food. I had the low country grill, which was good (actually the corn puree was excellent), but the potatoes in the hash were substantially undercooked. The same could be said for the mixed vegetables my wife had. Worse, though my wife's mahi looked good, the grill marks were so burned in that it made the whole thing taste like charcoal (like I wondered if they had burned something with a lot of sugar in it badly and forgotten to clean the remnants from the grill). True pity, because it looked like a great fish. In summary, the vegetables were mostly undercooked (not in a gourmet way, in a "we don't know what we're doing way") and the mahi mahi was charred so badly it was the only thing we could taste. At least my shrimp were good. Again, service and atmosphere were very good.

This was a nice place. My food was not the best. I got the sea food Alfredo with noodles peas, and my shrimp was not cooked all the way. The scallops had no taste, and the sauce was not bad, something I won't be reordering, I had to ask for bread. I did have an appetizer of their oysters, which was very good. Overall, my experience was a 7 out of 10. Last I got a drink called pineapple mojito and whoever made it needs more practice no taste at all I guess when you eat out ...you live and learn

We had a lovely dinner! Fresh seafood, excellent service from Nick, and the location was great for an easy walk to other attractions. We had thr Caesar salad, jalapeno cornbread and Mahi Mahi Catch of the day. Everything was delicious, portions were great and dinner was paced nicely for a great date night!

Justin was our waiter and did an awesome job!!! That being said the food was so fresh and delicious. So good that we could only take a pic of the aftermath! My lady loved the blood orange margaritas. We had the surf and turf, jasmine rice, andouille hash, shrimp ceviche, and the calamari!

Grilled oysters with manchego were pretty good. The fried shrimp was delicious. The grits were very peppery (too peppery) and dry. I added the butter from the bread and it helped a little. The green beans were beyond spicy, very heavy handed on red pepper flakes. Yuck. The cocktail was super yummy. Our waiter was great!

Outstanding! The Drum was full of great flavors and is a great choice. We also had the grilled swordfish low country style (the cream corn on bottom was great with fish)with pineapple salsa! It too was really delicious! The blood orange margarita was very good and the key lime pie was very tart( could have been sweeter for my taste) what made this meal the best of our stay there was our waitress Skyler! She was very knowledgeable about the food, gave great recommendations, she had a wonderful personality and was very attentive to her customers, checking back several times which never seems to happen these days. We liked it better than Magnolias.

First visit. Went solo and bar seating was full so sat at the communal table (which is a rare but useful feature). Service was good, food was excellent. Started with calamari which had a tasty dipping sauce. The Shrimp and Grits was excellent in all ways: presentation, portion, and flavors. Finished with a very smooth and hot cup of decaf coffee and a chocolate smore cheesecake from the local St Honore Bakery. Highly recommend.

Good food, good prices. I had a fantastic salmon on etoufee with a side of red beans. The salmon is parked on top of this freaking jalapeño cornbread that has been grilled. I don't know what else to say about that. It's special.

Scallops were fantastic. I’d cuss if this wasn’t a review. So good! Mashed potatoes and vegetables were a great compliment to the scallops. Key lime pie was fresh and good. Our service was exceptional.

Our first night for our party of 3 in Charleston and our hotel recommended this place. We loved the vibe right when we walked in. We loved the open kitchen concept and watching the staff working in the kitchen! So much fun! Reilly was our server and she was wonderful. Very friendly and professional. She has some great suggestions. We ordered the chopped salad to start. It was HUGE and delicious! For entrees we had the surf and turf (swordfish), the Low Country Grill (SHRIMP!! YUM!) and the Blackened Swordfish. Everything was prepared perfectly and was brought out fast! Reilly was really great and made our already great experience that much better! It was really a wonderful evening! No photos because we were focused on eating!! 5 STARS for sure!!!
