The seafood is locally sourced & cooked to perfection! I’ve always have had an exceptional meal every time I’ve eaten here! The service is friendly and the atmosphere is of a family run comfortable restaurant. My favorite restaurant in Charleston, Oregon!

One of our favorite local restaurants when visiting Charleston! You know it’s good when the locals keep coming back. ;) The fish is always fresh, the fresh squeezed lemonade is great, and the clam chowder is pretty good as well. The deep fried caramel apple pie was SOOO FLIPPING GOOD! We ordered dessert first to make sure we had room for it- instead of waiting until we were too full at the end.

Pretty delicious fish tacos. Second time we ordered small fish and chips($18), batter was light, pretty good.

Best crab cakes I’ve ever had! My husband and I always joke that when you see a restaurant full of older people, you know it’s going to be good, and that was the case here. He had the clam chowder bowl and it was delicious. Service was amazing, friendly and fast even though it seemed that the full restaurant was only being run by three people. Would visit again!

Wow. Wow wow wow. This place was fantastic. One of my favorite places in Coos County we went to during our visit to the Oregon coast. I can not recommend this place enough to anyone. While visiting, I looked at reviews of area restaurants this place stood out, and I'm so glad we went here. Since we were visiting, we tried a bunch of stuff at once. We got the fish and chips, and I upgraded to the seasoned fries based on other reviews. HIGHLY recommend getting the seasoned fries. But the regular fries were also delicious. The fish and chips were some of the best I had in the area. It was even better than some of the halibut I had at other places. The clam chowder was excellent. The potato salad was different than what I'm used to, but I would get it again. The coleslaw was one of my favorites I had. The beer battered shrimp was the BEST I've ever had. I've honestly never had a beer battered anything where I could actually taste the beer or any real flavor was added, but not here. I would die for those shrimp. We also tried the fish tacos, based on reviews, and they were excellent, but was slightly redundant as I had gotten the fish and chips, and the tacos just used smaller pieces of the same fish. But I would still get them again. The service was also excellent. The staff was incredibly nice and very attentive, and even offered suggestions of what to get. I can't recommend Fisherman's Grotto enough.

Really great fish tacos and seasoned fries. It was a nice family friendly dinner table style atmosphere. Sub seasoned fries have a nice zesty kick which went great with the fish tacos! Delicious! Thanks Again! 💚Always Support Local💚

A cozy place with a very satisfying selection for seafood lovers! My husband doesn't like seafood, but he really enjoyed his burger and fries. I got a seafood combination, and it was fantastic- they give generous servings! The staff is kind and quick. You can tell the locals come here all the time, and we will definitely be back!

The food was fresh and really good. You can get the bay shrimp on any of the salads for extra. The restraunt is large and not many people were in there. Second time stopping in and it's pretty good. The blackened oysters were not what we expected. We were expecting fried in a blackened seasoning. But they were sautéed in butter and blackened seasoning.

They visited our local Highland Games at Henry’s Winery and served amazing fish, shrimp & oysters! We ordered the fish and chips! They were very generous with their fish and chip basket portions! The fish tasted so fresh and the overall meal was filling yet light. Thank you guys for a great, fresh meal. We will definitely be visiting when we are in Charleston next!

We stopped by on our way through town and had a great meal. This place is busy because they have great food. There are a wide range of options but we had the buttered scallops and halibut fish and chips. Laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. If I did it again I might order ahead because of their popularity. Definitely recommend.
