Where to start? The service was absolutely excellent here. Really nice staff, and fast to the table. I had the chicken fried steak - it was fantastic. My buddy has the chicken Caesar wrap and it was also fantastic. The room itself was wonderful too - super cozy, well appointed and comfortable. Would definitely go again if I have the chance.

Phoebe's Diner isn't just a diner; it's the crowned king, the heavyweight champion of Southern comfort food, and the reigning monarch of good vibes. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner – it doesn't matter; they rule them all with a menu that's like a treasure map for your taste buds, guiding you through a journey of hearty Southern goodness. Picture this: you walk in, and it's like stepping into a time machine set to the Austin fifties diner scene, but with a Southern twist. The place isn't just decorated; it's an immersive experience that makes you feel like you're in the coolest retro movie, where every meal has that comforting touch of Southern hospitality. Cleanliness isn't just a checkbox at Phoebe's; it's an art form. You won't find a speck out of place because, at this diner, cleanliness is next to deliciousness. It's the kind of spot where you can confidently say, "My meal is prepared in a kitchen as spotless as the service," and that kitchen is churning out Southern classics that warm your soul. And oh, the staff – they're not just servers; they're your culinary confidants. With a lovely attitude and exceptional customer service, they turn every visit into a dining adventure. It's like going to a friend's place, but your friend happens to be a wizard in the kitchen, specializing in Southern comfort magic. Now, let's talk about the menu – it's not just a menu; it's a gastronomic journey through Southern flavors. Whether you're a vegan on a mission or a carnivore ready to conquer, Phoebe's menu is your ally. It's not just food; it's a symphony of Southern comfort, and you get to be the maestro choosing your perfect melody. So, if you're ready to dine like royalty in the heart of Southern comfort, where the food is king, the vibe is unbeatable, and you're always treated like family, Phoebe's Diner welcomes you to the kingdom of deliciousness. Long live the king of Southern comfort dining!

This was my first time to dine at Phoebe’s Diner, and it definitely will not be my last. Food, service, and atmosphere were all superior. To have chicken fried steak again, and it’s gluten free… it almost brought me to tears. The potatoes were also so very good - crispy outside, fluffy inside. I mean, even the iced tea was really good. It’s a real gem of a place.

Portions are sizeable. Good crunch on the cheeky monkey. Shrimp and grits came with chorizo- very savory. We thought Mr.crunch would be a closed sandwich however it is open faced. Will come back to try some of their sweet options!

Cute little diner. Came in at 9am on a Friday. Shortly after arriving the entire place was full. I had to ask someone to place an order as I felt they forgot about me. Food camera out quick. I had the brisket burrito. It was a large portion but the BBQ sauce tasted "off" to me. I'd come back but only to try something else.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Phoebe's Diner in Austin, and it was an experience worth sharing. Accompanied by the Knead God family, we indulged in some truly remarkable dishes that left us craving more. First up was the Fried Chicken & Grits – a dish that transcended our expectations. The succulent fried chicken breasts paired with goat cheese grits were nothing short of brilliant. What truly elevated this dish was the addition of maple hot sauce and pickled chiles. The marriage of flavors, with the creamy goat cheese grits contrasting perfectly with the sweet heat of the maple sauce, was a taste sensation like no other. It's a testament to the chef's creativity and skill that such seemingly disparate elements could come together in such a harmonious way. Next, we sampled the Brisket Benny – a hearty and savory creation that deserves all the praise it can get. Chopped BBQ brisket, nestled on buttermilk biscuits, topped with over easy eggs and hollandaise, and drizzled with BBQ sauce – this dish was a carnivore's dream. The brisket was clearly smoked to perfection, with a mouthwatering smokiness that can only come from a skilled pitmaster. The accompanying hash brown casserole and garnish of green onion added a comforting touch that completed the meal perfectly. I must emphasize that there should be no assumptions made here – the brisket at Phoebe's Diner is the real deal. They take their smoking seriously, and it shows in every bite. Whether you're a BBQ aficionado or simply someone looking for a delicious brunch, the Brisket Benny is an absolute must-try.

A delicious breakfast spot my wife and I visit often. Not a single item on the menu will disappoint! Highly recommend the Cheeky Monkey, Baked Egg, Biscuits and Gravy, and Chile Relleno (all pictured below).

I had lunch here with a friend. The chicken fried steak was delicious. It has the right amount of coating. The gravy is a little spicy but tasty. I subbed out the red potatoes for the hashbrow casserole. I also added an over-easy egg to my meal. I ate everything. We went back again two days later.

Austin’s food scene is one of the best in the country so it was hard to choose where to go on our first trip here but we decided to check out Phoebe’s diner based on a recommendation and it was a great decision. Located in a great area with a good amount of parking, we went for brunch and it didn’t disappoint. The deep fried French toast is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted but get ready for a sugar overload (fully expected personally). Service was quick and prices are incredible for the food you get. We didn’t get but they have a bunch of cool mimosa options so that’s a plus as well. Overall 10/10!

Got the Baked Eggs and friend got an omelet. The wait was about an hour during brunch time and we got there at 11:30. Worth the wait. You'll need to valet during these peak hours or park around the block walk.
