Finally had Al Basha on Christmas, when everything else was shut. Was planning to visit Al Basha for a long time. The lady at the counter taking orders is very sweet and altered my order since I wished for falafel and lamb plate (combo). She even gave me a falafel just to taste till we were waiting for our order! It was delicious. The grilled lamb plate with tahini, baba ganoush, salad and rice was yum. A bit of everything and oozing flavours is exactly what I was looking for. The chicken shawarma plate was good too, but I'll stick with the lamb one :)

Trust me, I come here about 2-5x a month from Canada! The food is not expensive and the portions are great! Yes, the place does need some tlc but it is clean and authentic. I’ve tried quite a few Mediterranean places in Seattle, but nothing comes close to beating albashas price and food quality. They’ve never ever missed, it’s the one place you know will always be good. Me and my partner usually eat a plate each, around $42 in total, and we alternate between the Chicken Kebab Grill Plate, Lamb and Beef Kebab Grill Plates, Gyro Plate, and Shawarma Plates. The hummus is so good, better than any I’ve had ever!

Had the Plate, with lamb and beef. Probably the best Mediterranean spot I've had, and I've tried many. I love this type of food. The flavors were wonderful, tasted authentic and fresh. Had it two days in a row while working near by.

After a short walk from the harbor, we decided to try this Mediterranean grill. The food was packed with a unique flavor of excellence. Rhe pricing was fair, but I will say the gyro could have used some extra meat. It wasn't bursting at the seams with meat like in some of the other Mediterranean places I've had. The gyro plate came with a delicious human, yellow rice, a salad, and a warm, soft pita bread. The stuffed grape leaves were very flavorful as well. I would recommend stopping by for a light lunch on the go.

The place can use a little TLC, but the food was amazing. Just be careful walking outside around the restaurant at night. The different meats in the mixed grill and shawarma were excellent. Flavor was great too.

We needed some late-night food and this place was great. Don't let the modest appearance deter you. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We shared a vegetarian meal.

Great food! The lamb shank plate was simply delicious. Lamb was so tender and juicy, even the rice was so flavorful-full with saffron and some kind of berries. The salad was so refreshing and a wonderful compliment to the lamb, rice and the lamb broth soup. The shawarma sandwich was a bit underwhelming though. It was small and too bready. The filling was not as flavorful-full as I expected. A few options of dipping sauces would've made a lot of difference. We asked for some sauces so they offered hot sauce. I feel the shawarma at Gyro Time in Greenwood is so far my benchmark for good chicken shawarma. The falafel on the side was a great value for money, but the falafels were a bit over fried and the dipping sauce had some stale taste. The restaurant itself was not very well maintained and clean, which is a common pattern that I've seen in Mediterranean restaurants in Seattle. Still looking out for a nice sit-down Mediterranean restaurant that does not have a fast-food cafe vibe, but that of course would jack up the prices a lot.

Al Basha is the spot is a great spot for having good while non-expensive Middle Eastern food. We tried their chicken and beef shawarma plates, and while they weren't the best I've ever had, they were still quite good. The staff, on the other hand, were very respectful, well-mannered, and thoughtful, which really added to the overall experience. Although the interior could use some renovations, the quality of food and service more than make up for it.

I would say this is my favorite of all Mediterranean restaurants in Seattle. I come here for tha good food and quality service. Staff are friendly. Good drink options. Well maintained. I had tha Gyro Fries 🔥 .. big change from tha carne asada fries I'm use to getting in LA. I always look for a reason to come back.

I tried their lamb shank plate and it was simply amazing. It was slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in tender and succulent meat falling off the bone. The flavors were rich and complex, with a perfect balance of spices that complemented the natural flavor of the lamb. The dish was served with a side of rice and vegetables, which are also seasoned to perfection and add to the overall flavor profile. If you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, or simply looking for a satisfying meal, Al Basha is worth a visit. Their lamb shank is a must-try dish that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
