Very generous and extremely tasty fish. The portion is the weak point. But the seasoning was amazing. Love their sauce is on point. Sadly didn’t get cornbread. The fillet needed more fish instead of breading. It was bomb, but still didn’t fill full. Tastes extremely fresh and quality. I especially like the hush puppies and cat fish fillet. The waitress were friendly and kept on showing love! 👏🏾🙌🏾 Hood Approved 💯💯

My friend brought me to her local comfort food take out spot and we were greeted by the friendly owner who immediately offered us a sample of the corn meal coated catfish with tartar, and it was really very delicious. We ordered a full meal of a pound of catfish, some hush puppies and fries, and some lobster Mac and cheese. He was very helpful offering up his best menu items and supplying plenty of consents and gave us several discounts and made us feel like we got special treatment. The fish and fries were good and the hush puppies and cornbread were tasty, although the Mac and cheese was not our favourite this time. The takeout was also open quite late, 2:30am he said, so it was really nice to be able to get a great late night nosh

Claims to be the best catfish this side of the Mississippi, I think they are correct. The batter is crisp and the fish juicy and perfectly fried. The hush puppies have a great corn and onion flavor. The corn bread has a sweet corn flavor and more than that has a moist, buttery goodness. The tartar remoulade has a mild spice kick, you will want more so order extra. One word of warning, the portions are generous, so don't eat yourself silly or you will find yourself in a food coma after.

Really good food all the way around. We had the Cajon Fillet and the Fillet and Fries. Both were very tasty and high quality. Friendly service at the counter. We will be back often. Making myself hungry just thinking about it.

I know this place is know for its fried food, but catfish corner express may honestly have the best raw seafood you can buy in Seattle... especially at these prices. And this stuff is FRESHHHHH I watched these guys bring everything in Everything is locally sourced and if you don't believe it the owner will enthusiastically show you video proving it lol Would not have expected the best quality/deals on seafood in Seattle to be down in Renton but very happy to have found this gem !! BTW the crab legs are unreal do yo self a favor

I'm born and raised Seattle, my family is from Kentucky, my wife is from Georgia, Jackson's speaks to your soul. If it's your first time definitely try the sweet tea, hush puppies, and collared greens.

Dinner for four last night was delicious. We sat at one of the beautiful wood slab tables and enjoyed a ton of food, all of which was delicious. The catfish fillet, snapper, fillet sandwich, hush puppies, collards, and slaw are prepared perfectly. The seasoning is spot on. Catfish has never been one of my favorites because it often tastes like dirt to me. Not here. Best catfish I have ever had! And I don't know how they do it, but the fried food is light and not at all greasy. Does not give that "I just ate a bunch of fried food" icky feeling. Service was great. Friendly and attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed watching many folks come in for take out and dine in. Feels very much like a neighborhood spot that has a deep sense of history and community. Can't wait to go back!

Seriously the best catfish in the city! And, it has been for over 20 years. It's very exciting to see this young man take over his family's legacy. The recipe is unchanged; still the same great food that they've always served. And the addition of the new peach cobbler pie is wonderful. Good stuff.
