A nice place in the heart of Scottsdale. My wife and I have been here 3 or 4 different times. We always take an Entertainment or Restaurant.com gift certificate for a buy one get one free or $25 off deal. Last night was our best experience yet there. We ordered a caesar salad to share and when it was delivered the kitchen had already split the plate. I was surprised how much there was after it was split, it was plenty. I must almost mention the rolls and butter. I usually don't, it's like commenting on a mexican restaurant's chips, but these were great, crusty but still chewey. But it was the honey butter that really made it great. After salads, the entrees came. I had salmon and my wife had the sirloin (it was her concession since I would take her to Flemings because we already went to Temple and a reception before dinner). Both were amazing. the salmon was the best I'd ever had and I boarded with a family who fished for salmon in the north pacific off Alaska every year and they knew how to cook salmon. It had a great slightly spicy glaze with this amazing lemony sauce on a bed of greens. My wife's sirloin was melt in your mouth tender with a spicy, smokey barbeque sauce served with garlic and buttered spinach and roasted baby potatoes. This was a meal fit for a king, yet we left without leaving more than $40! 5 stars to Pinon Grill.
Good spot for lunch with friends or colleagues. Fresh and tasty food was served! The waiter, The server was often on the run but was always happy to greet us with a grin and a friendly remark.
I absolutely recommend you stop here if you haven't yet!
It's almost always empty, which is most likely due to the fact that it's on the older side of things, but let that deter you.
The best risotto I've had anywhere yet, great steak, the bartender always remembers your name, and it feels like home!
If you want somewhere that tastes great, while being able to relax and enjoy your meal, this is definitely the place to go.
Living in McCormick Ranch has allowed us to find some hidden treasures. The Pinion Grill in the McCormick is a nice place to enjoy some of Scottsdale scenery. The patio has done of the must beautiful vistas overlooking the lake at McCormick Golf Club. The only negative is the lack of a happy hour. Homero event manager and Antonio the bartender filled us in on the event scene at the hotel and in the neighborhood. Come at sunset.

Lovely outdoor seating area with stunning views. We realized quickly into our visit that there was really only one server who was running around trying to take care of tables both inside and outside. She was very professional and kind and was clearly doing her best to appease everyone. We are sympathetic to staffing issues and weren't in a rush so we didn't say anything when it took a while to receive our food and the check. However, if you're in a rush or have limited time, you may need to consider other options.
Great place to grab lunch with friends or colleagues. The food was fresh and flavorful!
Steve, the waiter, was constantly on go but always had a smile and kind word and made sure all was good with our group.
Very nice place. The service was slow, but just not enough staff probably. They also closed at 10pm on a Saturday which was probably posted, but was surprising for a Saturday night. We met some friends to hang out and catch up, that were staying there, not realizing the hours. Still a very nice place, just plan accordingly and don't be in a rush.
For a Hotel restaurant I was amazed with the place, the elegant seating, outdoor area and the Lake views. Nightly they lit up some fire to add something special to the evening outside seating area. I didn't eat dinner here but tried the delicious Crispy Thai Shrimp with a tangy spice sauce. Goes well with the Californian Pinot Noir. My work colleagues came back to me with the most amazing feedback in the taste, presentation and value for money
We stay at resorts once a month, and this was not our first pick but We were so impressed by the service. Our server was single handedly taking care of the entire resturant. Damon was knowledgable about wine, parings and gave us a complimentary Strawberry Cheesecake, that was amazing. The Salmon and Halibut were cooked to perfection with accompanying sauces that superbly accented the flavors. Lovely views and ambiance. Overall amazing experience.
Beautiful view, Friendly accommodating staff! Shrimp and Scallop dinner is amazing! Asian Salad tremendous! Stay away from apetizer shrimp dish, fried shrimp, premed and frozen, heavy beer batter. SPANISH COFFEE to finish the meal
