One of our favorite places in Scottsdale. The Ambiance is excellent, the service outstanding and the food has been incredible on each visit. Delicious cold Seafood, the French onion gratin is the best I have ever had. Today I had the steak frites, a perfectly cooked flank steak and delicious fries. Just an amazing all around experience. Highly recommended, we will be back often.
Zinc Cafe is a delightful find in downtown Scottsdale. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed by the cozy yet modern ambience. The dining room is bathed in natural light with pops of colorful artwork on the walls. The space manages to feel upscale while still being casual and inviting.
But it's the food that really shines at Zinc Cafe. The menu focuses on elevated comfort food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor. The French onion soup was rich and deeply savory, with a perfect balance between the smoky broth and gooey cheese. The salmon was moist and flaky, served on a bed of creamy risotto. Even the Brussels sprouts had a delicious char and caramelization that made them addictive.
The service matches the quality of the food. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They have an excellent knowledge of the menu and provide spot-on recommendations to complement whatever you order. On a busy Saturday night, our server did an excellent job keeping our water glasses full and checking in at just the right intervals.
Zinc Cafe offers an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The cozy ambience, delicious upscale comfort food, and top-notch service all come together to create a restaurant that I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone looking for a special night out in Scottsdale. This is one local gem that is absolutely worth a visit.
This place is great. Came here for dinner Saturday. Many of the dishes I had never heard of. Our server was really knowledgeable of the menu and walked us through all of it. We had to try a few starters. All very different for me but they were so packed with flavor. There was a carrot appetizer I wasn’t sure about but when ordering, it was so amazing. You should try it. We ordered filet and short rib for entrees. Cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is warm and the space is clean. I will certainly be returning. Great experience!
Table service was excellent.
The friendliest host and servers you can imagine. The food was excellent. to the point. My son who knows a little about ingredients because he works in a kitchen and the waiter was good at answering his questions about the food. Several waiters came to say hello, very friendly and helpful.
Stopped in with my husband for lunch. Yum! We started with oysters and French onion soup. All were very good. He ordered the burger and I had the basil chicken sandwich. We finished with the crème brûlée. Everything was so delicious I only remembered to take a picture of my sandwich before we started eating. We will be back to try their dinner menu.
A very memorable dinner in celebration of my wife's birthday. The staff was attentive but did not hover. Food and wine to die for. Well worth the drive.
Bone marrow, flat iron steak, and scallops were amazing. Ended the night with their classic crème brule. We sat in the garden area and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our waiter Frankie was very nice and welcoming. I would recommend going for dinner as their dinner dishes were next level.
First visit to this French Restaurant. We went for brunch, they had a brunch menu or regular lunch menu. We had the smoked salmon board and Croquette Monsieur, along with some scrumptious bread. For drinks I would recommend the French Martini. They gave us a chocolate soufflé as a birthday gift. Make a reservation. We will definitely go back.
Five of us had dinner two nights in a row. The other options in this area are chains with no class. We were seated promptly. Our server was excellent. The food was excellent. With ten meals eaten I’d say we tasted almost everything they offer. We found the appetizers excellent. The entrees flawless and dessert perfect. The fun and unusual part of writing this review is not that one dish was great but rather ten entire meals were perfect. Enjoy.
Great outdoor dining space, had these misters going that kept us cool and comfortable in the 100-degree heat. Service was immediate and friendly. Not too much chit-chat, which is nice. I got the steak salad and the dressing was amazing. I love how the iceberg lettuce was basically a head cut in half with the fixings set on top. Oven-dried tomatoes, medium steak, very tender and juicy, candied pecans, a touch of sweet along with the savory. Hubby got the burger and fries. Yes, I stole some fries, duh. Seasoned perfectly, accompanied by ketchup and also a delicious aioli that I can’t quite place. Located in Kierland Commons in Scottsdale, a venue that offers a ton of people-watching opportunities, over-filled lips, ridiculously expensive ugly sunglasses, and wrinkly knees in Coach tennies.
