I'm 100% Italian, and Caraguilos has the most authentic real Italian food i've had since i started looking for an Italian restaurant that serves real deal Italian cuisine, and they do it the right, Italian way. No more than 30$ a plate, which anything more than that isn't real Italian. And the portion is out of this world. Plates under 30, and generous helping us a sign of real deal Italian. This is the only place I'll spend my money in to eat food my family isn't around to make. Ten out of ten in authenticity.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Food exceeded my expectations (I'm a picky foodie!). Server was attentive without being overbearing. Being from out of town prevents me from being a regular but it will become a must have every time I am in town. The balsamic vinegar and oils they use are from the Ancient Olive. An after dinner trip back to St. Armand's circle for a quick stop in their shop ensured I will enjoy some fond flavor memories at home.
Nothing to dislike about this gem! We came across it while leaving the marinara and it was a s ore for us! We sat in the bar area and our service was excellent. We opted to go with pizza, sangrias and salads and oh boy, the house salad dressing is the best I've had anywhere!!!! I will be trying to figure it out at home for sure, it's that good! The pizza crust is an amazi g brick oven crust that was perfect! Our server invited us back, said she makes the best chocolate martini around!! If you are looking for a new place to try, go here!!! Best Italian restaurant by far in Sarasota. Would give this restaurant 6 stars if possible. Great service, fantastic food, and for a great value. Had two entires, one appetizer, one kids meal, and three glasses of wine all for less than 100 dollars. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I definitely can't wait to come back! I'm looking forward to sitting in the formal dining area. We sat in the bar area. Which was completely fine and we felt like something very casual like pizza. The pizza was absolutely amazing! I can ever remember having! And the flavors, everything was so fresh! The wine was tasty. I did not look at the complete wine menu but whatever we ordered was delicious. I definitely can't wait to come back when we have more of an appetite and order dessert. I know that this is family owned by a few brothers and it supports several families and I think they're great, the only problem I have is with Owen's fish camp LOL you can't make a reservation in the place is always packed it just seems like it's a local it's just not worth going to which is totally disappointing. Veronica's is nice it's pretty decent it's definitely above average then one of the usual restaurants in the area so that's nice. I mean it's great place and seemingly great family I don't really know where they could improve on.
Our waitress went out of our way to accommodate our comfortability when we needed our table fixed from rocking. She was friendly and went above and beyond! She was on point with refilling our drinks. Service was excellent with the food and it was delicious 😋Ambiance was relaxing and old fashion feel characteristic of the 80’s. Highly recommend and telling family members to visit!
Top top! One the best restaurants for quality dishes and a classy interior vibe. Service was fantastic as usual. Their pasta dishes are great and many options with a variety of flavors.
Overall we enjoyed our visit, and this was a repeat for us.
Dishes were plentiful but not always deserving of a repeat visit. The Caesar salad was delicious, as were the appetizers of liver pate and the charcuterie. The Pasta with Scampi sauce was just okay, and the Eggplant Parmesan was dry and tough.
Service was very friendly but not always attentive as the Restaurant was full on a Tuesday night.
Came here and had a delicious dinner outside! Menu was well crafted with some well loved authentic Italian dishes! We had the ravioli ala vodka and the angel hair arrabbiata and the meatball app and every single thing was absolutely incredible. Huge wild caught shrimp larger than some lobster tails I’ve seen! The place is completely packed inside on a wens night!! It’s clear that this is a gem I am so glad I stumbled upon! Will definitely be back!
Its was late and we happen to find this restaurant open. The gentleman came out from the bar area and seated us with a smile. We enjoyed the shrimp scampi linguine and the spaghetti with meatballs.
The ambiance was also nice. Great restaurant to visit again when in the area.
We received a recommendation to come here from a friend, saying this was her favorite Italian restaurant in Sarasota. She was right. This place is definitely one of the best we’ve been to. The service was awesome. Menu was great. Definitely will come back.
Stopped in here for dinner with family while on vacation. Had to sit in the bar area because we did not have a reservation. Would highly recommend making one. Food was good. I had chicken Parmesan and it was good, wife had some eggplant Parmesan and it was really good. My daughter had a cheese pizza. We both had salads and those were good. Only reason not giving 5 stars was service. Had to wait for items we ask for a long time even having to ask twice at times. Maybe that is just part of sitting in bar area, not sure. Good food though.
