Stopped in after calling Bob for a reservation around 6.30ish tonight Sun 4/23/18. Eddie and I, never having tried the L Lobster yet of Sarasota but only Longboat Key where we stay... Service by Amy was outstanding.... Bob is a terrific guy and host.... The food every bit as excellent as the other Lazy L.... and we found our dinner to be quite delicious.... you bet we will retn, when back in Sarasota in 3 wks for some business...... Feel like we found another great regular spot to have a seriously good meal w fine service all the time. as we spend more time in Florida......

We went on Christmas Day with a reservation. Was quite busy but the service and food was top notch (fast to come out but not too fast and hot)! Fabulous seafood, tried a new wine on their recommendation and glad we did. Excellent experience and will go back again and again.
If you like lobster this is the place, great options including "lazy man's lobster". Their appetizers are great, wine selection is good, and the prices are very reasonable. A must to check out.
Lockwood ridge restaurant is the best so far. First time and new to the area we will definitely make this a regular
Pretty good dinner. We arrived early to The Lazy Lobster, early enough for their early bird special with their reduced price menu available today until 5:30. I ordered the Clam Chowder and the Stuffed Shrimp Norma. The chowder was good with lots and lots of pieces of clams, many more than even pieces of potatoes. The shrimps were also pretty good, a hint of clam mixed with spinach and wrapped with each shrimp with a light flaky crust. For the early bird the dish came with 3 shrimp, from the normal dinner menu the dish would include four.
Service was polite with no problems at all. All the expected things were done and done well.
The place started filling up after we arrived. Busy places are good places. The Lazy Lobster is located in the Lockwood Village Plaza on the NE corner of Lockwood Ridge Rd and Tallevast Rd.

We really enjoyed this little tucked away find. You might miss it if you don't have your gps helping you but thanks to its good reviews on urbanspoon, we had a great meal in a very pleasant atmosphere. Everything from the peppered jelly dip for the warm bread to our main entrees was delicious! The lobster macaroni and cheese is heavenly and the stuffed grouper special with seaweed risoto was exceptional. The seared ahi tuna was also cooked to perfection. Our waitress was also very helpful in picking out the best beers as well as was the owner who made our reservation within minutes and seated us indoors as the weather was turning a little chilly. Overall it was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back.
Very good. After reading recommendations on urbanspoon, and on the recommendation of a local friend, I dined here in late Sept 2011. I found the lobster bisque to be outstanding, and the large portioned ahi sushi over basmati rice dish ($15) to be superbly presented and well priced. Overall, a good value for the dollar, and I would dine here again. Don't miss the one-of-a-kind aquarium bar.
Great restaurant with date-worthy cuisine, friendly atmosphere, and unpretentious staff and menu. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends!
Great Value. Lazy Lobster is a favorite of our friends and we accompanied them for dinner recently. I understand why they like it so much. Portions are large and well prepared. I had the almond crusted tilapia, my wife had lobster tail, and friends had grouper. Everyone enjoyed their selection. Service was friendly and efficient and the prices extremely reasonable. LL is recommended for basic seafood dinner.
The bisque was out of this world! I thougt the menu items where priced high for the establishment
Wellllllllll...The Lazy Lobster was not the most unforgettable dining experience I've ever had (not by a long shot). Still, it was pleasant enough in many ways to keep me from turning this review into a total snarkfest. Underdog is very supportive of my l
We ate outside since the temp was perfect. Great spot for seafood at a reasonable price. Shrimp 3 ways appetizer was fresh & tasty. Mahi Reuben was good & the Island Mahi was cooked perfectly. We stopped on our way to the airport. Service was fast & friendly and one of the owners stopped by to chat about Deals Gap.
Kacey's is one of my favorite "go-to" restaurants, and it never fails to please. Both the manager (Kay) and our server (Angelica) were wonderful. Our dishes included shrimp scampi (yummy!), Kacey's platter (ribs, crab cake and coconut shrimp with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies), and the captain's platter (fried cod, shrimp and clam strips with fries and hush puppies, and I upgraded the cole slaw to a Caeser salad). Everything was delicious and there was so much food that we'll have enough for another meal! Go, you'll thank me!
I live in Fort Lauderdale but the first place I stop in Sarasota is at Kacey's. Staff are amazing but so is the food. Nothing you pick is a wrong choice. Grab the 9oz of of wine and spoil yourself. Enjoy!!
Excellent golden - brown shrimp basket. Ribs were a generous size. Crab cakes were spot on. Excellent service. Our server got slammed, so another server took our drink order. You may substitute the sides and if you don't like something (hush puppies) 86 it.

Service beyond exceptional, environment quiet, food quality consistent. My fiancé & I come once a week the staff treats you like family. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu not one item to complain about. Perfect amount of seasoning & always fresh. When coming I look forward to the delicious daily special options. Thank you for never disappointing looking forward to being forever regulars $$$$
Stopped in for an early bird meal, very friendly. Nice outdoor seating. Nice selection. Of Craft Beer. Happy Birthday Peter. Let's take the wives to dinner.
I love this place. The food is always delicious, the staff is very friendly and quick, and their sangria is so good , we always get a pitcher. The bean cake is so tasty and so is the shrimp kacey. You won’t be disappointed !
First time here and came with friends so no pictures this time. The food was excellent - all 4 of us truly enjoyed the delicious food. Service was great. It's a really cute place we've been meaning to try since they opened here but we kept forgetting. So glad we came today and we'll certainly be back again. A must try for good seafood.
Love the food and service here. I come at least once a week. Highly recommend this place to everyone I know.
If you already know Kacey's on Fruitville, you will love this just as much...just not as crowded (for now). A.J. is the best!
In for dinner again, had the Shrimp "Scargo"...full of flavor! Paired it with a small house salad. The raspberry vinaigrette really compliments the richness of the shrimp, butter, and cheese. Wife had the fried shrimp tacos which she really liked.
