I ordered the beef enchilada plate with rice and beans. It was excellent!! The enchilada sauce was very flavorful. Loved the salsa it was very tasty. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

The food here is excellent but the service and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. I really liked the salsa and the chimichanga was great. The shredded chicken in the chimichanga was prepared very well. However, the restaurant was pretty plain and was unpleasantly loud. It sounded like there was a leaf blower running in the kitchen the whole time I was there that I assume was some type of blender. The service also wasn’t the best. I had to go up to the counter because I wanted more water and had to flag someone down to pay the bill.
Mexican food just like home... dont let the look of the place fool you, nice and clean. Nice people good service.
Have been here before many times, used to eat here with my father, he is no longer with us...and it's always a great experience!
The staff has always been the same, there has been no turnover since I've been coming here and the owners have been here forever, great couple, very very friendly. I recommend this restaurant fully and will always support it wholeheartedly. The food is delish and the portions are great. Pricing is very comparable to other restaurants of it's type in the dtSJ area. Also, it's a good place to come and have a drink with friends at their bar.
I will keep coming here for as long as they are in operation. May G-d bless them always.
Tacos and drinks are excellent. Wonderful salsa. Maybe pass on the fajitas.
It was good! I had the chicken tacos dinner, they were made just they way I wanted, the only reason for 4 stars is I've had better at other places, the flavors here were lacking a little but vs some other authentic Mexican restaurants. Overall great atmosphere, service and experience!
Had the Cheese Quesadilla lunch special (comes with rice and beans). It was pretty good. Also they give you free chips and salsa. Some of the hottest (spiciest) salsa I have had (but it was good:))! Fast and Friendly service. Family owned and small place with seating at tables and the bar. Reasonable prices.
Quaint. Stylish. Comfortable. Extensive menu. Huge portions. Food is great!!! The homemade salsa is supremely spicy. Prices are reasonable. You can eat at the bar or at a table. Restaurant not on main drag. Use maps to locate. Easy though.
Don't let appearances fool you, this is solid home cooking located near the downtown hotels and within easy, safe walking distance.
Wasn't sure if this was for locals only but the vibe was welcoming, the service like home, prices were totally reasonable, and the carnitas were on point.
Total hidden gem and it looked like they do late night street tacos, etc. for when the bars let out.
Portions are big and food is decent. I had two tacos, one steak and one pork. They had beans in the steak taco. Why does it have beans?? Anyway, all I want in my tacos is the mean, onions, cilantro, and some salsa. That's it. I didn't expect the beans, but I will definitely request not to include it next time. They also serve tortillas and salsa when you sit, so that's a good bonus.
Love eating at Don Pedro's. LOVE THE MENUDO!!! Friendly service. Everything I've had there is great! Flatuas, Taco's, Chili Verde Plate, Cocido. Maybe not the fanciest place but good people run it.
