Wholly vegan, this is a brilliant, tucked away bar that's well worth seeking out if you're in downtown San Jose. I went there on a quiet Thursday lunchtime, and the staff were great - extremely friendly.
I tried one sour beer, which was delicious, and a more ordinary pilsner-style beer. But the highlight was the "small plate" of brown rice with Jamaican-inspired curry. After two days of hotel food, I was so happy to eat this.
It isn't cheap - with tips etc my bill came to around $40 - but if I'm in the area then I'll be making an effort to visit again.

Cute little small place with delicious vegan options. This would be my go to place for strictly vegan options. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They accommodated our delayed orders with a dessert on house.
Good Karma is your friendly neighborhood bar with many exciting food choices, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a chill, relaxed vibe. I stopped by for a quick bite in the afternoon and got "pulled pork" tacos, which were delightful. I plan to come back to try other items on the menu. The owner and servers were very sweet and welcoming.

A humble place downtown with a great vibe, and vinyl spinning cool jazz on the turntable.
I had the Bosco Tacos and my husband had the Red Curry. Both were unbelievably delicious. Nice selection of brews and great service.

We came to Good Karma before a Sharks game and boy was I glad we came here. Every single item we had was fantastic and the sour beer was also great. Service was amazing, vibes were perfect, and I highly recommend anyone looking for some vegan-friendly food try it out.
The restaurant bar is not big. You have to go to the bar counter to order food. Menu is flexible in the way that you can build your own order, such as one, two or three items plate or burrito and bowl. A good variety of drink menu. I ordered red curry quinoa. It’s not a typical Asian curry but once a while I think it’s good.
The outdoor area has seen better days. Only one large table for a group of 4 and had to sit in the entry area. Luckily it was dead. Great beer selection and food variety. The chili Verde was a bit tangy but good... labeled as spicy but had zero heat. Drumsticks are always a hit!
Found a cool little market set up on Post St that sends related to the Splash club at the corner. Bonus
I absolutely will be returning and enjoying the amazing food and intaking the groovy atmosphere. The Jamaican jerk is delicious and that's as a plate and as a burrito! The main go to so far! Delicious kombucha options lemon ginger is my favorite! Everything was textured & tastful. For this to be vegan is amazing! I met the owner too! Such a great soul-full being! The employees are always great, helpful and they really stay on it. The food, 10/10, atmosphere 10/10, service 10/10. Can't wait to return and try the pulled pork tacos I heard they come highly recommended 😋 and good luck on the parking can be a little walk away if you catch them on a good day.
Food, beer and service was amazing!! I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was! I recommend the Chili Verde! Atmosphere wasn't the best, right next to the street, uncomfortable tables & chairs and inside seemed dark on such a beautiful day. If I lived closer, i would get takeout from here often, I'm sure!
