Original Joe's San Jose

Our server Chris won my business! He was quick, professional, thoughtful, and was able to create a memorable dining experience by adding commentary at the perfect times. I'll be bringing my family when I want to celebrate a special day. Thanks Chris, and the rest of the staff assisted as well! The food was flavorful, and the environment was warm.

This place is busy all the time. It is a local spot that is packed every night. Get there early or you're going to have a hard time finding a place to sit. The food is not bad, it's not the best I've ever had but it's good. The ravioli there is not bad. Drink. Prices are a little expensive but that's downtown San Jose for you. I don't blame this restaurant. The atmosphere is interesting because this is a very old restaurant so you can see motifs from the 50s and '60s. Overall a good place.

It has always been a family favorite my entire life. Even though I no longer live in town, I make sure to come back every time I'm back. Everything on the menu is fantastic, with my favorite being the veal. The bar in the back serves strong drinks while you wait for your table. During the holidays, it's a short walk to Christmas in the Park!

We visit at least once a year and are always satisfied. The quality remains the same...great. The staff is very professional and always entertaining without being overly attentive. The meals are good quality, good sizes and a bit on the pricey side but worth it. My wife and I shared the lasagna and it easily fed both of us with leftovers.

I like to go here for some dinner dates with my fiance. They have a great selection of wine, good service and it is not too pricey! The atmosphere is very good and it is nice to just get away for an evening for a little date night. It has a parking lot around the back for parking that is not free, but it is not too expensive so you don't have to worry about parking downtown since it is a little crazy down there. I would definitely recommend.

First place in the States where I’ve had soda not tasting chlorine! And the food was just AMAZING. The charbroiled chicken was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables was not too tender, just the way I love it. We shared a five layer cake for dessert. The portions are huge, so next time we’ll share one. The staff was super friendly and our waiter; Frank, has ‘it’. The charm, friendly energy and was very service minded. Some comment the service is a bit slow, and I’d have to agree, but it is very much worth the wait. Even the tap water tastes great, and I’m hard to please in that manner.😂
