I love this place. Best burgers in town. Great place to get dinner after the Zoo, Kiddy Park or Doseum. Fantastic atmosphere and staff. A must try in San Antonio.
Over time I've tried most everything on the menu. Best hamburgers, chalupas, great salad and all flavor of shakes. Everything is made per your request. There is something to please everyone in your party.
Got the bacon cheeseburger 1/3 lb with chili cheese tots both really good. I was able to share this with another adult and it was plenty. The dreamsicle shake was so so delicious, will def go back to try some other flavours and burgers.

I've visited several times and have never been disappointed. The burgers are always juicy and flavorful and the fries are always addictive. The milkshakes are good to the last slurp and served in its own glass along with the tin.
Really great burgers, fries, chalupas and milkshakes. Place is always hopping and most staff have been there for years. The veggie/boca burger with bean burger fixings is a personal favorite. Onion rings and salsa are made in house. Definitely a favorite spot.
Both the food and service was great. The only downside- We were looking for a pet friendly restaurant. They were great with our dog, but they only have one table for their outside seating. Thankfully, we were there right when they opened and snagged the table. So, if you're looking for a place to bring your favorite four-legged friend, you might be waiting awhile.
Awesome burgers in a great "diner feel" atmosphere!!! Love the Train!!! Burgers cooked to order and fresh fixings. You have to try the Spicy Splinters they are GREAT !!!!
Wicked combo. My wife and I were craving burgers, and stopped by to try this place out. The interior is stripped down with flashes of fifties nostalgia. The staff was very pleasurable and efficient. My wife had the Cheesy Jane's with guacamole and I had the Wurst Burger. It's a half pound patty with smoked sausage, cheddar, pepper jack, and barbecue sauce. All those flavors came together better than I thought. Savory, salty,spicy, and sweet make for a great combo.
Cheesy Jane's was suggested as a lunchtime diner for us to try, and I can certainly say this was an excellent suggestion. Of course, we had to try the signature Cheesy Jane burger. This is very good value for your money, as well as a very good burger. It is fairly large, so you have been warned. The fries are fantastic.
This location was very clean, the staff quite friendly, and the service was pretty zippy for the lunchtime rush. We intend on returning for dinner sometime soon to sample the starters, salads, and sandwiches.
Great burger and shakes!. Great burgers, sides, and shakes. There is a wide selection on the menu. The atmosphere is clean and fun. The food is fresh not greasy. You can get frozen yougurt or icecream shakes. Yum! My favorite is the sampler burger basket--try a few of their burgers in slider form.
Staff is great, food is fresh, unprocessed, dining area is cute and clean. Food arrived prompt, prices are reasonable. I like it!

We stopped for dinner here before heading to the Botanical Gardens to see the Christmas lights. The atmosphere is that of a diner with brightly painted walls and red vinyl chairs and booths. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long before getting our food. We both had the bacon cheeseburgers which were really good and juicy. They had thick slices of crisp bacon on the burgers. I ordered a large size of tots, which were way more than enough to share with my husband. The menu had a long list different flavored shakes, but I'll have to try one on another visit. The parking lot is pretty small, but when we were leaving we saw another large lot across the street.
One of the best burgers I've had!! Also got a strawberry banana shake that was delicious! The service was great and we didn't have much of a wait since it wasn't too busy. Husband got the cheese fries and loved them, I got tater tots that were crispy and delicious! We will definitely be coming back every time we are in town!!
Cool little place with a diner vibe, not much from the outside but good on the inside. Hamburger was really good, good flavor and bum. Tater tots were ok but nothing special, great sweet tea. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic food! We ordered two separate gluten free burgers, although we only got one GF and the other regular, it was delicious. Theyre pretty quick with orders too. Would reccomend and go again.
Great food, no one else was there so everything was fast. Food and service were great, we shared a 1 lb burger and fries. I was very impressed with the food.
Had we not been sharing, it would have been just too expensive which is why I only give it 4 stars. $12-$13 for a burger that does not come with a side is just a lot of money. Is it too much for the quality of food? That depends on you! For us, I can only justify the price if we shared a burger. If we each wanted a different burger and fries, I would go somewhere else with lower prices. But if you got the money, the food was top notch and we left very happy
The food is delicious and atmosphere is really like a retro diner. I ordered the Cheesy Jane burger and added jalapeños My Girlfriend had the Taco Tuesday meal. I must say the tacos tasted better than actual taquerias. Definitely recommend eating here
Overall great experience. Food was delicious and our server was AMAZING! Abel was very attentive and helpful. My husband and I had a great experience. Would definitely come back and will recommend to all our friends! Definitely need to try the milkshakes while you are there.

They nailed it when I visited. Also they somehow make tater tots that are super crispy without being little bombs of grease - they were delicious. Service was quick and helpful. Get their malt, it is perfect in every way.
A neat little diner, really close to the zoo! The 50's theme decor was fun, and the burgers were delicious! My wife and I both had the Big Dill Burger and loved it. We were too full to try the shakes and malts, but the people next to us got them and sucked them down like they needed them to live! Our waitress was a friendly college student who checked on us regularly and made sure we had anything we needed. We will be back the next time we visit the zoo!
