I came across this place when I was looking for a Starbucks near my hotel. I'm glad I decided to stop here because the latte I got was very good and the price was good too. Came back for breakfast and had The Standard sandwich it was delicious, and they weren't skimpy with the avocado either. Definitely recommend this place.
Great location. Historic downtown San Antonio. Great baristas and awesome service. I ate a The Sexy and it was actually really tasty. The latte however was a bit water down or at least that is the taste in comparison to other similar coffee shops. But overall experience was great. Will definetly come back. 2 thumbs up.
The main focus here is on coffee, but they have a handful of sammiches and a few salads. I had the Veggie Delight sandwich ($7.58 with tax). TONS of avocado (they don’t skimp on the avocado here my peeps), lettuce, tomatoes, hummus, and caramelized onions on a couple of pieces of nicely toasted/grilled bread. Most places hold back on the avocado, but I can’t stress enough how much avocado was on this sandwich - and that’s a GOOD thing.
It’s laid out like your typical hipster style coffee bar. Most of the seating is at bars around the windows looking out onto the street, and they have soft couches and chairs to lounge around on and discuss those important hipster issues while you enjoy your “brew.”
The fancy sandwiches are quite nice. The Standard is my favorite so far. If you're looking for fresh and simple, this is a great choice.
This is a nice little coffee place, with a great variety of coffee, juices, sandwiches, sallads and similar quick bites.
Really cosy. Friendly and welcoming staff. A must visit if you prefer the independent and local.
Enjoyable little cafe and coffee shop. I was there a couple of years ago when my wife had a conference. I got to spend a couple of days here in the mornings on my own. It was probably a 10-15 minute walk from where I was staying near the Alamo. I'm glad I did because my options were either hotel coffee or Starbucks (which does happen to be right across the street). Staff was friendly and the shop flow was steady. It is a bit small but I imagine most of their clientele are people who work near there, and I’ve never had trouble finding a seat. I was served quickly and spent some time there reading. I look forward to going there again.
Vegan sandwich was reported to be “really good” by travel buddy; they aren’t skimping on the avocado :) Coffee was good as well. Service was great! Super gregarious guy behind the counter.
Forgot to take a picture of the Sexy sandwich. But I devoured it too quickly. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had hands down. The Latte I got was also Freakn amazing. Great location and spot of you’re staying at the Holiday Inn - Riverwalk. Better than Starbucks!!!!!!
Relaxed coffee hang out. Nicely broken in leather couches. Good low key soundtrack suits the neighborhood feel. Nice Cortado.
The coffee here is AMAZING. The team behind the counter is always super nice, I’m from out of town but they remembered me the next day I came in. I got the standard sandwich which was really great. It may take a minute to get your order when they’re busy, but I promise it’s worth the wait!
I also like that they try to be environmentally conscious- with paper straws and no lids
The coffee wasn't the best I've had, but it wasn't the burnt stuff that the Starbucks across the street serves. You also get your coffee in a real mug and not as paper cup. I enjoyed "The Sexy" which is an egg sandwich with bacon and avocado. The bacon was great, I wish I could find bacon with the same smoked flavor. I will definitely visit again on my next trip.
