Had a great experience! Yes, there were some dirty tables, and we did have to wait a little (not too long) for our food, but it is only one woman trying to do everything by herself. She is great! The food was really good, especially the puffy chicken tacos.

Wow. What an amazing Nortena Taco. I was curious why a place reviewed by Guy Fieri does not have higher reviews. This place is managed by a couple of cute elderly ladies probably not very tech savvy on social media which may explain the low reviews. I recommend this place. Must try. I had the beef nortena taco on their home made flour tortilla and it was amazing.

The food was excellent and the lady working (I’m assuming the owner) was wonderful and attentive. She works so hard and made sure we all had everything we needed with a smile! We got breakfast and left full and satisfied! Thank you and we will be back for sure! Maybe tomorrow!! Lol.

Went with my mom and sister Helen was so nice she runs the show by herself. Noone showed up to help her work and the food was good I'd definitely go back just to see her smiling face. Keep up the good work Helen you are truly blessed stay positive.

I’m confused by the rating. I’ve been here many times and never had a bad experience. The food is incredible. The tortillas, beans and bacon are the best I’ve tasted and the service is lovely. People just need to be patient, don’t come here if you’re in a rush. It’s not fast food, it’s made from scratch and it shows.

We drove from Wichita, KS because we had seen Taco Taco on Triple D. We were NOT disappointed. Helen was so gracious and inviting. She is a true treasure. The warm handmade tortillas were amazing! The puffy tacos and retried beans were stellar. We tried a barbacoa and fiesta taco too. So delicious!!! You can feel the care she puts in her food.💕

We drove through San Antonio just so that we could get some puffy tacos at Taco Taco Cafe. Even though we walked in 10 minutes before closing, Helen was so kind and eager to serve us. The food was delicious. Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Helen even went next door and got us cold waters for our road trip back home. 10/10 would recommend.

Flavor: A Service: B Tea: B Solo dining: A Guy Fieri says this place serves the best tacos in America and I wouldn't argue. The tacos are large and you can taste the fresh homemadeness in the tortillas. You can watch them being made at the counter, in fact. The bacon is thick and crispy. Every taco ingredient is plentiful and delicious. There's only a few women serving, cooking, and cashiering so the service isn't super-attentive but it's also not lacking. The tea tasted a little funny but I didn't ask about it. Despite a few things that could be a little better, I feel like I've found a new San Antonio gem. Go enjoy this classic diner and eat some tasty tacos!

Best tortillas I've ever had. My wife and I got chilaquiles and migas on a sleepy Monday morning before driving out of town. The staff and owner were wonderful. Next time we visit San Antonio, we'll be visiting here again.
