There is absolutely never a time that I've eaten at La Frontera that I didn't enjoy the food. My husband and I always make it a point to eat there whenever we are in Salt Lake City. We haven't lived in the area for over 25 years now, but every time we come it's absolutely the best Mexican food we have ever had. From the first time at the 7th west location, to now having expanded, the restaurant maintains it's great quality, and great service. The decor is never anything wonderful, but who needs great decor, I absolutely prefer the great food, the pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food you do get and should we ever move back to SLC, my husband and I would go back to our weekly routine of eating here at least once a week.
THE best Mexican food ever! I have not lived in SLC since 1984 BUT when I'd did it was the best. To this day La Frontera is the standard by which I measure all Mexican food and NONE have measured up. Wish I still lived in SLC! It never looked like much in the 80's but the food was awesome!
I love the large and small combination platters! and always end up bringing some home.....mmmmm good.
Best smothered burritos. I prefer the Brickyard location though
