I didn’t have high hopes walking into this place but BOY was I wrong to assume! The area is quite nice and the service was quick and attentive. Food was great, we thought it would be fun to get the Funky White Boy Sushi Roll which was SO good along with the Flaming U which was lit on fire before our eyes. (It was incredible!!) We got another one that I forgot the name of but every roll was great. Would recommend!
Loved it here! Very unassuming place, but my friend booked the karaoke room for a bachelorette party. The staff was quick and friendly - and super accommodating. We showed up early to eat before karaoke, and they let us into the room a bit early.
Definitely recommend the Katsu combo or the combo sushi!
As usual, it is one of my favorite spots to visit, 4 during lunchtime. Is close to my office, personnel is very amicable, food is always delicious, and service is pretty quick.
It's our new FAVORITE sushi restaurant now!
The rolls are so amazing and loaded with fish/crab/shrimp and not over loaded with rice and other fillers.

i have read other reviews and didn't see any of the problems that were mentioned.
the staff was very active and doing the best they can I'm shure.
the food was good and i consider it better than most strip mall sushi I've had.

Pros: a little off the beaten path, Hi Sushi was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and relaxing. I liked this vibe more than Tsunami which is crowded and dark. The waiters were really nice. And the sushi was great. Nothing crazy but a solid experience all around.
Cons: Nothing will blow you away, but Hi Sushi is a solid restaurant.
Wonderful sushi option in SLC! Between the quality of the food, service, and price- this place is a winner! Definitely a must try for sushi fans in Salt Lake.

Outstanding food. Hajeong was the essence of charm and the Sushi Chef prepared a simple but delicious spicy yellowtail roll.
That, plus Miso and Gyoza, comprised a wonderful, simple lunch.

One of the best sushi restarants in Utah. I love the atmosphere here and the sushi is great as well. Always excellent quality and can't really go wrong with any of the options. I always leave here feeling satisfied and the prices are reasonable as well. Give Hi-Sushi a try if you are in the neighborhood!
