If you're a soup and salad person, you may just love this place. A wide selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. I got the Thai salad and it was okay but not what I expected. Too much oil for my tastes. Everything is served with the white soft roll and chocolate-covered strawberry which was fun and tasty. I think because they cater to so many different tastes, their food is probably under seasoned but I don't know because I didn't have more than just the salad. The restaurant is cafeteria style. You order your food, they put it on a tray, and you take it to your table. I will say that I thought the trays were way too slippery; my food almost flew off. It was clean and light.

I just discovered Zupas while working in the area, and I was pleasantly surprised! I normally don't care for soups/salad type of cafés, but I think they do it right. I got their turkey avocado club and it was super yummy. The little bit of sweet honey mustard hits the spot! I liked it so much I came back the same week to get a combo. Roasted red pepper and lobster soup is quite good too. So cute that they give you a chocolate covered strawberry. Although itd be nice if everything in life was a little cheaper these days, i thought it was priced pretty adequately. All of the employees ive encountered were friendly, and very fast! With no line, I kid you not I had my order in under 60 seconds! 😂 Theres tons of seating at this location and I think it'd be a nice little brunch spot to meet up with someone. Ive never seen zupas before and to me its similar to Panera bread in a way. My only complaint would be they dont have recycle bins. All of the meals come in big plastic containers and theres no option to recycle. Even the trash bin has a circle too small for the container.

At my company, one of the usual caterer is Cafe Zupas. Like most chain stores where the food is cliche, I never went out my way to go try them; besides, it free at work. Until today, when I noticed one newly opened in the strip plaza, where I usually stop for lunch (love the variety). This was the last store in the plaza exiting onto 600 East. Outside has a seating area, with tables and chairs for outdoor eating. The interior looks very modern, and clean. I was greeted when entered (they wasn't busy), and immediately assisted with my order. I asked them for specials, and they recommended the combo (sandwich or salad, with soup). I ordered the "Vegetarian With Pesto Spread" on whole wheat bread sandwich, with the roasted red pepper and lobster soup. The team member recommended Croutons with my soup, which I added as a soup essential. It's a standard free add on in many places, but they charged me as "soup mix-in". The soup was very rich and savory, with vegetable and lobster pieces in creamy sweet red pepper base. I added the croutons and scooped it up with the bread roll that came with it-it was delicious. The sandwich was a bit cold (why are vegetarian sandwiches usually cold!) for my liking, the tofu and other veggies didn't mix and stay in the sandwich; there was no emulsifier to hold the content in place, so it just fell apart. It wasn't bad, but I think it would taste better if at least the bread was toasted or warm (next time). The end of the meal was perfect, with the chocolate dipped strawberry that came with the combo. I will return to try their other items, stay tuned till next time!

Sandwich and soup were absolutely amazing, but the baguette they served was cold and slightly undercooked. Overall, delicious food!

Great quality food, I tried the BBQ salad and chicken sandwich and both tasted really good, the ingredients felt fresh and the overall flavors were nice. Definitely will be coming back again!

Best sandwich chain in the country. Always a friendly atmosphere and the food is always fresh. Soup, sandwiches, and salads are top-notch quality. Price seems higher than most take-out but totally worth it. Ask for the "Chris Soup". Not listed on any menu, but every employee at every location knows what it is. It's a 50/50 mix of tomato basil and Wisconsin Cauliflower. Delicious.
