We were in salt lake city on a weekend and decided to go to this pub. I am amazed by their reasonable drink price. Their Spicy Chicken Sandwich was amazing. Great service.
GARLIC FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover. Although Poplar pub may look a little divey, especially compared to Red Rock next door, the food is delicious-- high quality ingredients and great flavors. Service was friendly and the fries are to die for!!
Appetizers are good. I've only tried the appetizers at this place so my overall knowledge is limited, but what I had, I enjoyed.
Great all around!!!. Beer on tap is plentiful and prices are reasonable, service is fast and friendly, and the crowd is vibrant. I recommend their Prosciutto Burger as a must try. It is flavorful, sweet and perfectly cooked every time. A pint of Chasing Tail to wash it down is a perfect match to their burgers. And they really know how to cook french fries here, just crispy enough on the outside, chewy inside. Their fries really are some of the best around. I enjoy them both regular and garlic style. All of their dishes are at least very good here, so you really can't go wrong.
Best French fries everrrrrrrrrrr
One of my favorite places to have some drinks. Great place to hang out and throw back a few, pretty cool crowd
Stellar Service and Sunday Brunch. I usually don't write a review, but felt compelled to after brunch today at Poplar. Amazing Sunday brunch buffet - so many things to choose from! If you order a waffle or an omelet, they ask where you are sitting and BRING IT TO YOU! None of this waiting around stuff. When my omelet was brought to me, I asked if I had missed the ketchup and where I could go and get it. The amazing brunch server, told me not to worry, that he would get it for me. And, he came back and asked me if I needed anything else. Not put out, not irritated, nothing. Amazing. Great mimosas, great Sunday football crowd. (Wish I could remember the names of the two guys working the brunch station. They were fantastic and provided better service than I have seen in some fine dining establishments.) We will definitely be back!
Good Sunday brunch. The house chile verde was delicious.
Hit or Miss, Heavy Emphasis on Hit. The service here, the one thing that Utah doesn't seem capable of, is impeccable at any time, morning, afternoon, or night. 95% of the time, the food matches right along with it. Their sunday brunch spread is fantastic, and these people manage to make one of the best Bacon & Blue Cheese Burgers I've ever had without being ostentatious about it. By the time this is written, they should also have added the Prosciutto Burger (Prosciutto w/ Crispy Tobacco Onions) to the menu. The *only* drawback: when their fries are well made, these folks put out some of the best garlic fries (unique to Utah in their rabid following) I've encountered. Having dined here approaching a dozen times, I have had at least one batch of them turn out cold and soggy - not sure if the fryer was @ the wrong temp or if they sat too long before being plated.
Overall - You can't go wrong here. This is some of the best "bar food" available in Utah, at a reasonable price for more-than-generous portions.
I passed around ten locations before deciding on Poplar Street Pub. The outside is as inviting as the inside is warm and friendly. The inside was almost entirely empty, save a few patrons at a single table. The service was incredible, bartenders and wait staff alike.
The atmosphere was just what you imagine. Some parts more communal, some parts more catered to having a few drinks at the bar by yourself. The pool table appeared to be in great condition and the entire restaurant seemed very clean and appropriately lit to show that but again, appropriately less so in the bar area.
Firstly, the portions of the food were insane. Literally the portion sizes of a bygone, pre-covid era. I'm a grown man and left almost a quarter of the burger and some fries. The spicy jalapeño burger was a cheeseburger with an aioli on the side. The burger looked and tasted as if it were pre-formed and frozen but again it was massive. The bun and toppings were very fresh. The aioli was the only thing differentiating this from a cheeseburger and it was mediocre at best with very little flavor. To the fries, I added the garlic option for two dollars and they were fine. It is slightly irksome when restaurants charge an additional fee for a topping then sprinkle it gingerly on the topmost layer. Overall it was fine not great but the ambience, environment and service made up for it.
Great local spot, been coming here for over 10 years whenever I am in town. Not fancy, but service has always been at least good, and most recently top notch and entertaining! Reasonably priced food, love their pizza and local beer selection. The outdoor patio is nice too, but they do allow smoking outside. I don't care for smoking but there was enough of a breeze to make it a non issue. They do have a couple of pool tables too. Overall good bang for the buck, and cool people.
The bar keeps going and going and going seems to never find an end. Many different rooms, different levels made it a little odd. However when we found our spot it was very nice next to an outdoor seating area. Smaller bar area with some good music bartender was very attentive. They have a variety of beers and cocktails. I ordered a pizza which was pretty good the crust wasn't greasy and was light and crispy. Complimented my beer nicely. Lots of TVs to watch favorite sports and if you want to get away from the crowds in this place I'm sure you can find another room easily.
Fun place for ou pre party. Good food! The wings were amazing. Jalapeño cream cheese dip was delicious
Friendly staff. I ate the fire roasted jalapeno cream cheese burger. It was great. Fresh ingredients. Delicious fries done in clean oil. Great atmosphere. 5 stars. 👊🏾😎
Have been here a number of times during the day when it is quiet and both the staff and patrons are always nice. Quality meals, drinks and service.
The garlic fries, chocolate Bundt cake and coffee are very good.
For your classic pub food, these guys actually got some great stuff! The burgers are juicy, the pizza is perfectly cheesy, the fish and chips taste like they’re not from Utah. It’s a hidden gem for sure!
Best Sunday brunch in town! This place is one of Utahs best bars but it's brunch is probably the best keep secret about the place. All you can eat buffet with custom made omelettes, waffles, and cakes. If you get the chance to catch this brunch you definitely should. You will be glad you did.
First time visiting here and we will definitely be back! Every one of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Fantastic tap beer and bottle selection along with anything else you want to drink. We ordered the Chile Verde nachos to split. They are huge! Big enough for 3 to 4 people and the Chile Verde was outstanding. Lots of seating on multiple levels. Can’t wait to go back when it’s a little warmer so we can hang out outside.
Great place to watch Monday night football. The wings were good and plenty of rooms with TVs. The server forgot my order but I just ate off my friend plate.
