I recently dined at Benihana in Salt Lake City, and I have to give it a well-deserved five-star review. The atmosphere and ambiance were fantastic, creating a perfect setting for a special night out. The highlight of the evening was the talented chef who not only prepared our meal with incredible skill but also engaged with us throughout the experience. The attentive service from our waitress added to the overall enjoyment.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply great! Benihana's steak and their variety of sauces never disappoint, and this visit was no exception. If you're a fan of steak and flavorful sauces, this is the place to be.
One thing to note is that it can get a bit loud, which might not be ideal for families with young children. However, it's an excellent choice for adults looking to celebrate special occasions in style.

First timer here! It was great! I wasn't sure of the seating at first, but it's a good way to meet new people and or network. The show by the cook was entertaining as well.
Really fun teppanyaki experience. My steak was wayyyyyy overdone so I took off a star. Staff was excellent atmosphere was great.
Get there a little early for your reservation. Park at Republic Parking—Benihana will validate your parking. Food and service were wonderful.
The atmosphere is fine, but some things were obviously in need of attention. The women's bathroom had a toilet paper dispenser out of order. The rolls were left on the window sill. There were places in the dining area where the wood on the wall has separated from the trim and they used white caulk to fill the gaps...and that's separating. It's not a huge deal. Go for the food and the service.
Great place for an experience. The servers were great and the chef was amazing. Food was good.
The food was very good, I mean at the end of the day, these places are mostly the same. Just small variations.
However, I got the Land and Sea. Scallops were good and the filet was very good.
The chef, he did everything correctly and the presentation during cooking was very well done and entertaining.
There are some issues, the place was brutally hot when we were there. If the waitress had not brought out some cold water, I might have left. It was stifling!
The other, the place is needing a remodel very badly. It is kind of run down, still, the food was very tasty at the end of the day.
We went for my mom's birthday and didn't realize my 5 yr old was sick. Just as the chef walked up, my daughter emptied her tummy onto my lap. The management and staff were very quick and accommodating in cleaning and providing us materials to prepare if it happened again. We stayed for our meal because my daughter said she felt better after that, and the manager and staff checked on her regularly.
Food was a 10/10 as well service, but our cook Ramon, elevated the whole experience making fun jokes, keeping positive energy flowing, very friendly and interactive he definitely set the mood for our party of 6. He was awesome! Loved every sing thing I ate. It it’s warm upstairs just know you’ll be nice and toasty lol. Staff is amazing ngl! Definitely bringing friends and family to share the experience of Benihanas. 🤩🍤🍜🍱🩵
Our server Joshua took great care of me and my family today when we came as a large group for a birthday celebration. He went above and beyond checking on us frequently, printing out some photos of us for us all to take home, and making sure everyone left full and happy. 10/10 would recommend dining here again.
Everything passed the receptionists was great. They acted like they didn't want to be there and never let anyone know what was going on, or why 45 minutes after our reservation time we still hadn't been seated. A little more inertaction and friendliness is needed. And it wasn't just our group. Past that everything was great and we all had a good time.
