Sapa is easily the best sushi you’ll find in Salt Lake City. I highly recommend their specialty “secret menu” rolls. But they also have plenty of vegetarian options as well as entrees if sushi is not your thing.
Not only is the food great, the atmosphere is also top notch here. During the summer, the patio will transport you to a zen garden making you forget you’re in the middle of downtown. All together, Sapa makes for the perfect place to enjoy a drink and sushi with friends.
Awesome food with cool ambiance and well priced for the quality and portion size. We had the filet appetizer, and two of the secret menu rolls and it was all excellent. Excited to come back and try more items on the menu!
I love sushi and Japanese food. The fish has to be fresh. The food here was outstanding! Service was awesome. The restaurant opens at 5pm. Get there early, it's a popular place! I have Celiac and have to be gluten free, no problem!
Love this place. The sushi is good, the service is great, and the atmosphere is a vibe. There are many choices. I have been for lunch as well as all you can eat sushi. You will leave full!
Wish I could show you the items I ordered but I inhaled them. I was so hungry when I got here! I had a lavender haze which is just a whisper of raspberry liquor and a Sunset roll, Tasmanian devil roll and the seaweed salad. All delicious.! I don’t know why I have never eaten on the patio because it looks lovely out there! Next time…
Update: one of the best sushi restaurants in Utah. Everything we ordered was fantastic. If you don't like sushi or fish, there's plenty of great options to enjoy. The parking lot is pretty small, and the other lot to the south is a pay lot. Keep a sharp eye out for the front door. It's not uncommon to pass it and have to backtrack.
Original: really good experience overall. Ordered the boneless short ribs, Vegas roll, and molten chocolate cake (recommend all three). Relaxing and clean environment. Service wasn't great, felt like we were forgotten about a few times, but could've been an off-night. If you like sushi and Asian grill food, you'll love this place.
“The Sapa restaurant is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places to enjoy authentic Asian cuisine, especially their incredible sushi rolls. Every time I visit Sapa, I’m amazed by the freshness and quality of their ingredients, creating flavors that transport me to Asia with every bite.
Furthermore, the restaurant’s decor is simply charming. Every detail is carefully chosen to create a cozy and authentic atmosphere. However, here’s a valuable tip: don’t forget to make a reservation! The restaurant is very popular, and booking in advance ensures you’ll have the best available spot. Sapa remains my number one choice to satisfy my craving for high-quality sushi and Asian cuisine.”
This sushi spot has an amazing atmosphere. We loved the patio seating. Food is really good and likewise the service we received.
This was my first time coming here and after trying almost every sushi restaurant in Utah, their sushi rolls are really good and full of flavor. The price per roll is more on the expensive, but if quality matters to you, this place will deliver. Parking can be frustrating, as you have to pay for parking, unless you find parking on the street.
This is our go to sushi spot. We come here at least once a month and love to celebrate special occasions here. On busier nights, the wait list will move quickly and the staff is great. The vibes are very chill and it's a great spot for date night or catching up with friends. We also love their drinks and sitting in the bar. Get the spicy edamame for an appetizer.
Our favorite rolls right now are:
Dragonfly
Dinero
Cyprus
Iron man
