This place is a fine eatery. The usual clientele are dressed formally and the building is quite fancy, but it is a casual dress establishment.
Ordering was a bit slow, as the cashier was a bit slow (she was training). However, the trainee was one of the nicest cashiers I’ve met.
The rolls are delicious. As the Lion House is temporarily closed, this is one of the few places you can still buy the rolls. Very tasty.
The tomato Basil soup was more like over salted marinara sauce. So think you could paint your walls with it, and so salty it would likely keep for a long time.
Our salad was delicious, very fresh ingredients.
Description and menu was accurate, price was fair. Very clean. Pulled pork sandwich was flavorful, cole slaw was a nice addition and the bread was the perfect balance of soft and crispy. As a nauvoo-area native, I really enjoyed browsing the art.
Prices are good and the location is obviously great if you're touring Temple Square. Limited hours, though. If you don't make it here while they're open, you can eat across the street in City Creek's food court. But eat here to save you some valuable tour time.
Nauvoo Café is very nice and cozy, a perfect place at historic Temple Square.

Their Turkey Pot Pie 🥧 is my all time favorite (worth $8.99 +tax). The crust is flaky and buttery and the filling is exactly that—filling! I never come away hungry when I have their pot pie.
Their soups are good, comes with a delicious roll, both for $4.84 (includes tax, explaining how many times I’ve had their soups). My favorite soup is Loaded Potato, then their Cauliflower, then their Clam Chowder.
Their sandwiches were delicious, but a few months ago when they reopened after the pandemic shutdown, their recipes changed. Their prices also went up. I don’t get a sandwich anymore unless they are out of my first two faves.
The staff are very kind and helpful.
Been here once and it was good. I don’t live close to go a lot. I got soup and a pot pie and I really enjoyed both.
I came here with my sister when she was visiting from out of state. The service was quick and friendly and the food? 😍 AMAZING
Everyone will have a bad experience at a restaurant so disregard those people who are complaining about "high prices" or a weird bad experience. This place is AMAZING. If you are going here for the first time get their Turkey Pot Pie. It is made fresh and guaranteed to be one of the best pot pies you will ever have. Everyone has always been friendly when I go, they keep the place clean. Nice and relaxing atmosphere for family or going solo. Don't forget... the turkey pot pie!
I go here about once a month. The Turkey club and the Jalapeno Pork are awesome sandwiches. I'd add a pic but I ate it too fast. They need to bring back the chipotleayo for the turkey sandwich.
Update. The prices have gone up and the quality down a bit.
One of my favorite sandwich shops in SLC. Has gotten more expensive
A great place for a quick meal, in a casual setting in a beautiful historic building. The turkey pot pie was amazing.
