This is a strictly pick up at the window place. But, the food is good and the employees are kind. The jambalaya is excellent. Get the cornbread with it. Prices are reasonable.
Soulard Cajun Corner rocks! The gumbo, jambalaya, red beans rice & sausage, and chicken n dumplins are really good..at good prices too. What a great place to have here in Soulard.. check it out ⚜️🫘👍
This restaurant is located inside the Soulard Farmer's Market. I had read this before going and planned to check it out.
As soon as we entered the market in the main area I could smell the food and it smelled delicious. I shopped around for a bit and go this to go. It's important to know there wasn't any seating around the restaurant, I'm not sure if there is seating somewhere in the market.
They had specials of the day including chicken and dumplings. They have all your cajun classics of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans & rice, etc. and the prices are very reasonable. It's hard to pick just one! But I really needed to, so I went with the red beans and rice. I ordered the regular size and it was large - I ate it for 2 meals. It was good, but I like mine really spicy and there wasn't much spice to it. I added jalepenos to mine at home. The sausage was in very large chunks and I cut those down to make them more bite size as well. That said, I'd still order it again and I'd like to try more of their offerings.
Great alcoholic drinks! The peach margaritas are awesome!
I have no complaints. They make yummy food. I've never ordered a dish I didn't enjoy. Highly recommend if you're ordering in or in St. Louis.
Great food stop at the farmers market. It smells so good you can't not stop for a bite. And the taste lives up to the smell. Everything I've had has been top notch, quick and served by very friendly people. I now go out of my way just to eat there, even when I'm not shopping at the market.
Etouffee and clam chowder were amazing. Food (delivery) came packaged nicely with friendly little notes on the containers, and a free sticker 🤗
Highly recommend!
If you’re at the Farmer’s Market, you have to stop by the place. The food is great and the price is right. I always go for the Red Beans and Rice with a Cajun Bloody Mary. Your fingers will be swollen from the salt but it’s a delicious and hearty meal. I’ve tried the hurricane and Irish coffee too, but always go back to the Cajun Bloody Mary.
Ordered 2 quarts of gumbo for holiday weekend. Had the first quart tonite, and it was delicious and can hardly wait for dinner tonite to share with my husband tonite and have leftover's later. Wil be back. Those behind the counter were respectful, quick and just delightful!!!!!
Always a interesting place to go for spices or fish vegetables, fruit, etc....
