Kalbi Taco Shack

Listen, if you don't do anything else in life you need to try out the food here. I attached a photo for reference. I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken rice bowl with the crab ragoon (comes with sweet and spicy sauce). It was so delicious, so flavorful, and so filling. I will for sure be returning with my appetite.

Food is fantastic. However the lady taking the orders could use some work. Instead of being on your phone maybe great the customer and learn how to ask questions, like: Is this for here or to go instead of saying, Well you didn't tell me it was to go or I assume you wanted this instead of asking. If bare minimum was a requirement I can see why she got the job. However the lady that brought my food out was wonderful.

Not being from anywhere near here, the vibes in The Foundry are super cool! It was actually a ton of fun going here! It’s kind of a mall but has outdoor and indoor shopping and it’s inside an awesome industrial building! So cool! The food is AMAZING!! I LOVE the blend between Asian and Mexican cuisine! We’ve never had Asian tacos before, and I’ve never had jackfruit before (being vegetarian), but these were amazing!! I actually enjoyed both vegetarian taco types we tried, but I loved the tofu ones the best!! Mmmm 🤤 Oh yeah, and the homemade salsa with chips is a MUST!!! Sooooo goood!! My husband had the chicken teriyaki taco, sweet and spicy chicken taco, and beef short tip tacos… and said they were all delicious too (but his favorite was the chicken teriyaki taco). Note: the pricing is STEEP (but not being from STL I feel it might be similar to food in the area). It’s $4.50 per taco, and $12 and change for 2 of the beef tip tacos (and the tacos are very small… Street style tacos of course). BUT, would I eat here again? IN A HEARTBEAT!!! So come and enjoy this place!! It’s delicious!!

Food definitely didn’t disappoint! Of course I had to get tacos from the taco shack and BY FAR the roasted sweet potato taco was the best! They sweet potatoes had great flavor and cooked perfectly! Unfortunately they were out of sweet and spicy pork so I got the chicken instead and while very good there was absolutely NO SPICE! It was all sweet but I wasn’t mad at it just want better next time. The rice bowl was nice…pretty much pick the protein and tell them how you want it. The kimchi was a bit of an after thought. Feel like they need to do a bit better with that. Also, had the dessert chips and they were delicious! Tastes like they use more of a pita like chip because they were sooo addicting!

My meal was delicious! I got the protein box with sweet and spicy chicken. I’m visiting the area and glad I chose to eat here! I only took off one star for service because the person taking my order just seemed like they were annoyed that I was not ordering fast enough or something? Overall a really good meal and place to try!

Best for in foundry. People are loving and nice like family and know how to feed my heart. When I come to Kalbi s I get a great experience every time. The employees are nice and very helpful and make sure that my allergies get taken care of. Make sure that there's nothing in my food. I would not want to eat or could not eat. Overall, I think this is a very humble and nice and generous place and I will be visiting again and I love this experience that I have and most definitely will be back.
