Quaint neighborhood cafe. Good ambience. Sat upstairs because downstairs was full and it was too hot to sit outside in the patio. The electricity went out a couple of times but came back within seconds. Solid breakfast. The blueberry corn meal pancakes were absolutely delicious.
Great little coffee shop/restaurant tucked away in a Soulard side street. The menu is very well priced, and has a variety of both breakfast and lunch options. The coffee is delicious and fresh and you can purchase a freshly baked good to go with it. I recommend trying the yogurt and granola for anyone that likes this combo (the granola is amazing, and tastes like a fresh baked oatmeal cookie).
Great coffee, Great food, and very friendly staff. We come all the way over from Illinois every chance we get. We have been here many times sometimes just for coffee. If weather permits sit out back, one of the best patios around.
Amazing Coffee and the Hash and Eggs are a special treat. It is a sit down restaurant and has seating on the second floor as well as the main level and garden. During my visit it became apparent that it is a local favorite for those living in Soulard.
Waiter was extremely attentive, literally making it hard to not have a full cup of coffee at all times and the food was just amazing. Atmosphere by the boatloads with local art and exposed brick walls as well as just an all round great bohemian vibe.
Our food came out quickly and it was great! This place has a cozy feel to it. It's worth giving this place a try if you are looking for a place to eat after visiting the farmer's market in the morning. There is some available parking. The coffee is mighty fine. The menu is reasonably priced as well.
I have a mixed review of this place. The cafe was pretty crowded so I understand they took a lot of time to serve us. i ordered a pancake with fruits, scrambled eggs and bacon and i was really happy with my food. it was a cornmeal blueberry pancake and i loved it. my husband ordered a Ruben sandwich with a side vegetable and the waiter said it would come with sautéed onions and mushrooms. however, when he finally got his food it was just blanched spinach totally tasteless. when he told this to the waiter, the reply was, well it's not officially on the menu. well my question is, if you are misrepresenting the menu by telling your customer some add on then at least admit it. the correct action is, to tell the chef and get the dish as described to the customer. my friend ordered just a fruit plate because she wasn't feeling well and they gave her a side fruit (see the photo to get the idea) and charged $3.00 for it.
Such friendly and attentive staff! Very nice atmosphere, being in a historic building, and the food was amazing! My crossaint sandwich melted in my mouth, and my husband said his biscuit was so good that it tasted "like you just know it was made with love!"
We've visited multiple times and always have a great experience. The food is fantastic. The people working here are wonderful. We were especially pleased at how serious they are taking sanitation and cleanliness during the covid-19 pandemic. Disposable menus, single serve condiments, disposable silverware, sanitizing tables and everyone was wearing masks properly. A special thank you to Nick for the great service on our most recent visit.
This place is amazing. Super delicious food and friendly service. We sat outside and it was so relaxing. You can listen to the water falls while sipping on coffee and having breakfast. I had the breakfast parfait. It was amazing.
Wonderful coffee shop where we enjoyed breakfast immensely. You can purchase coffee to go and brew at home or you can have a latte there.
