WHAT A GREAT PLACE....SUCH A FUN EXPERIENCE. GREAT FOOD, GREAT TEA, GREAT SERVICE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I treated my mom and mother in law to the special Holiday Tea they offered this month, and it was nothing short of amazing. The food is delicious (and the presentation was beautiful), there's numerous tea options, the service was wonderful, and I loved the holiday decor. My biggest (and only) complaint is that they don't do the full tea service on a more frequent/regular basis. We've been wanting to try this place for YEARS, and were so happy to finally snag reservations. Afternoon tea is something my mom and I have been doing a few times a year for several years. We've been to every tea house and restaurant in the greater Portland area that offers a full tea service, including places that aren't around anymore. We both are fully confident in saying that Myrtle's has been, hands down, the best we've experienced. We look forward to returning for their future special tea events!

Lovely place and very nice owner. However, I brought an out-of-town guest for tea, thinking we would be served a high tea experience. Not so. I was very disappointed to see that the entire place was more a retail store than a tea house. She serves only tea and scones, which were tiny. We had a choice of savory or sweet, so we ordered both . The scones were bite-sized and it was so expensive I was shocked. Our table was surrounded by gift odds and ends which was not a relaxing experience at all. It felt too cluttered and busy to relax. I will not be going back. My daughter-in-law feels the same way and won’t be going back.

Thick menu of teas. Tasty scones. An amazing gift / antique shop that has something for everyone. A gracious hostess who attended each guest. Very welcoming & warm.

If you haven't tried them, you need to!
Been going here since they first opened over 10 years ago. Elizabeth is such a joy to visit with and there is no other tea experience quite like what you'll get here. Each room is decorated so beautifully and you can tell that so much love has been put into this tea house. Everything is always delicious and you can tell the staff cares about quality and details. The staff has been consistent and they are always friendly and accommodating.

Oh my gosh, it's so gorgeous and classy inside, with a French Quarter Rennaissance of the 1920's theme. The staff was AMAZING. And the tea and food, sooo good, wow. I'm so glad we tried it.

Myrtle's is no longer serving their wonderful lunch. It was a bit on the expensive side, but now it's even MORE expensive. They serve only scones and tea. My friend and I ordered both kinds of scones...the savory(3) and the sweet(3) ea. 6 scones and a pot of tea cost $27 for 1 person, Yikes. Me thinks we are not going back there, even though the owner is a dear.
