This is the fourth restaurant we've gone to before attending the Ridgefield Playhouse. It's another winner and someplace we'd go to often if we lived nearby. Terrasole is stunning inside. Très élégant. Ultra chic bar where the Italian born owner has a huge black and white mural of fellow native and actress Sophia Loren on the wall behind the ivory stone countertop. Patrons can sit in white leather high backed bar stools to gaze upon the movie star in her prime. There is a beautiful large chandelier hanging from the high ceiling in the bar, along with a circular window to bring in the outdoors. Modern light fixtures hang from the ceilings throughout the restaurant in addition to other appealing displays.
Impressive menus from cocktails to mains to three course options (12:00-4:00 seven days a week) and desserts with cordials. A temperate July day, we sat outside on the patio, but there is tented outdoor seating, as well. The unique special cocktail menu led my partner and I to ordering the Spring Fling and the Blackberry Bramble. Our family member guest and designated driver had a coke. We all ordered off of different menus and everything was above par.
Our party ordered one three course menu meal with a sashimi salad starter, Aragasto con Brioche (Maine lobster sliders) and Il Gelato del Giorno Affogato with a shot of espresso; Fusilloni con Aragasto e Gamberoni alla McNally (pasta with Maine lobster, Colossal Maya prawn, asparagus, and zucchini with white wine, olive oil, truffle essence and a touch of brandy) and the special menu risotto with clams, rock shrimp, lobster, and porcini mushrooms on saffron rice topped with crispy maple bacon. Complimentary toasted bruschetta with olives, tomato and parmesan was served before our dishes along with olive oil. Crunchy and well dressed we did not turn down a second basket that was offered.
Comments on the three course menu determined the dessert was the best one. (Saturdays and Sundays this menu is brunch oriented.) The salad was satisfying with some fresh raw salmon and blue fin tossed in the greens. The Maine lobster sliders had more dressing, onion and celery than lobster so these were the least favorite of the three. The gelato with a side shot of espresso was stupendous. Incredible presentation with flavor to match. The house whipped cream was a tad over beaten in its thickness. It took a little back and forth to get the pistachio option offered over the vanilla or chocolate hazelnut, and it was a long time coming as a result. Worth the wait. See my photos.
The imported hand cut Fusilloni with lobster and prawns, was the best dish of the three. Simply divine in terms of flavor, pasta doneness, huge prawns, lobster portion out of the shell, vegetables and sauce. The risotto, however, had an exquisite broth which made the rice so full of flavor it could have been eaten without the shrimp, clams, lobster, mushrooms and bacon. It had to be a stock made from lobster and/or other seafood shells.
Because we were attending the Wynton Marsalis show at the Ridgefield Playhouse, as ticket holders we received a free glass of wine. Choices were cabernet or chardonnay. Both were smooth with good body. Staff hearing we were celebrating our guests birthday went and got us a candle... no, not the usual little wax candle we've all had since we were kids... more like a Roman candle. Never experienced that before...be prepared. I said to the Chef, you guys go big here, don't you?...she grinned and said, yes, we do.

My boyfriend and I had dined at this restaurant a few times in the last two years. We decided to try their happy hour two months ago and now frequent this place often. Their happy hour specials are delicious whether you get the special Sushi roll, which I have tried a few times and love, or their Pizza, Oysters on the half shell or Tempura Oysters, which are all delicious. Last night we enjoyed the happy hour menu of Tempura Oysters and Oysters on the half shell, both which were delicious and then the Polletto dello Chef and the 10 layer Lasagna which were both incredible. They have a great selection of Beer, Wine, after dinner drinks and their desserts are a must have. The staff there is absolutely amazing from the time you walk in until the time you leave. This is a place we look forward to eating at each time we go there. Thank you

Stunning atmosphere, in the bar area. Went here for Happy Hour! You are offered a limited selection of appetizers and 1 glass of wine...the selection is adequate with a very nice presentation. However, you cannot get another glass of wine or appetizers at the Happy Hour cost. This is disappointing...also the staff is lovely, but they are told to stand around, basically hanging over your table.
It was a nice first run...but won't return!
Also, the prices on their dinner menu are outrageous!

Upscale, trendy, classy eclectic interesting menu. This restaurant has a European vibe. Everything that we had was exceptional, Tuna Tarte, Wood Fired Pork Chop and Poke Bowl. Yes, give this place a try.

Used to be the best food in town. I mean that. It was my go-to for when I had guests in town, special occasions, and just a Friday night date night with my wife.
For some reason they decided to mix Japanese food with Italian food, and it's a train wreck.
If/when they get back to basics, I'll return.
Also, the service doesn't match the food. Servers are $$. Food is $$$$. They could use some professional waiters.

Very good wine list and menu here, from the appitizers to the deserts. Wonderful staff, who will answer questions, and find someone if they cannot. Indoors and outdoor seating. Dress was from casual to semi formal.

If you told me last week I would be in love with a brussels sprout salad, I would not believe you, but here we are and I am. (I don't even like brussels sprouts normally but that was the best salad I've ever had, and the rest of the dishes were beautiful. There's some magic going on in that kitchen.)
I went this past Sunday for their brunch menu to catch up with my mum. It's a decadent experience eating here yet the prices are VERY reasonable. High quality food and a creative menu, with staff that are wonderfully fun and attentive, and who doesn't appreciate fantastic service? The atmosphere is nice and romantic, they had a really lovely live jazz musician playing, and in general it was just a great experience. Makes a lovely birthday, anniversary, or date spot. I can't say enough positive things about it.
