Southwest Cafe

Excellent service. Arrived right when they opened and was pleasantly greeted. My friends arrived and we were able to pick our table. The food was great- fresh and clean with large plate portions. None of us could finish our entire plate! We each got an entree and shared an appetizer. The waitress was lovely and was able to give us other suggestions of places to go in town. Great experience for about $20 a person.

Average tasting. $5 Delivery charge is price gouging. Upsetting part is that when I place the order I asked if they deliver. He said Yes, but No mention of the $5 delivery charge for a mile away. Did curbside pick up instead. I want to support our local restaurants but they have to be upfront with their pricing. Not cheap for average taste. May never return.

I have been a customer and loyal fan of Southwest Cafe for many years (20 +) and selfishly never reviewed it. The food is unique, Mexican, South Western with fresh ingredients and lower fat/ carb versions of "typical" American Mexican cuisine. I am a vegetarian and there are many great options, I love the salads, grilled veggie burrito, guacamole and fresh made salsa and chips. Specials are unique and varied with seasonal ingredients. The staff are really great and Barb the owner is usually there to greet and treat each customer like a friend. Try it!
